Those waiting for Touch 4 confirmation, I can tell you that it looks and plays great on that device. :)

I really want this, although I feel like I shouldn't have to pay for it, since it apparently has quite an in-app purchasing system going on.

If they're doing 'kash packs' for up to $4.99 each, and extra levels at $1.99 each, then the base game itself should be free (or $1.99 at the most).

But @jsrco: oh hell yes. This game had the best audio of any game when it was released back on the wii. I'd happily buy the soundtrack if it were on iTunes!

Is anyone having trouble getting the "Naked Terror" level? I've paid for it but when I try to play it it's still locked! When I go into the store to buy it again, itunes recognizes that I've already paid for it but nothing happens...

For what it's worth, i've finished the other levels and it was really fun. But Sega, now that we know that the concept is working, bring the HoTD 2 and 3 ASAP!!

I am thinking about getting this game but am abit confused with the IAP that are offered.
So hope that someone can clear it up for me :0
Naked Terror is just an extra level you can unlock through purchase but
what are the different Kash Pack I am seeing?
Are they like in game currency that can be used to upgrade stuff?
If that's the case can you progress in the game without having to spend money?
And is it easy enough to earn through the game itself?

The "Kash" is indeed the in game currency used to buy and upgrade weapons. You earn enough in game and consumables IAP are totally optionnal.

I found a way to fix that bug! Go back to the main menu, the in Option find "Gameplay" and tap on restore purchases. It should work after that!

Havent bought Naked Terror yet, but i must say... This is one of the best On-Rails Shooter i've played on iOS.

Others i can think of that really wow'd me are Rage HD, Heist: The Score and Mercenary Ops (this one to a lesser extent, but this was pretty enjoyable).

I have this game on wii. So this isn't even the full game, only 3 levels?

If you loved the Wii version as much as I did: and you know what the iPad/iPhones are graphically capable of, and you look at Rage HD's gfx, which even worked on the 1st gen iPad,... then be prepared to be TERRIBLY disappointed by this version of HOTD Overkill. It made me wish I had never sold my Wii and long to play the Wii game instead of the iOS one. Such a missed opportunity for Sega. I honestly do not understand a lot of choices they made converting this for iOS with SO many missed opportunities, a dumbed down and watered down HOTD Overkill, with such a masterful original.

I wrote Sega literally perhaps a hundred leters begging them to port the Wii game for iPad2 and up. It looks like they decided to go iAP, premium and lo-fi gfx and limited levels instead of a port. Dumbest move ever for this franchise. A truly good Wii port would have sold millions. The Overkill fanbase is huge. I suspect many of them will be disappointed if they loved the Wii version as much as I did.

If it's rated M and features dismemberment, it's probably banned in Germany. Same for Australia, though they do have a new rating that's equivalent to our "M" rating. They have "E" (exempt, which is basically "is not offensive or controversial in any way, shape, or form"), "G", "PG", "M" (which is actually equivalent to our "T"), "MA 15+" (slightly more restrictive; the midpoint between "T" and "M"), the recently introduced "R 18+" (our "M" rating), and "X 18+" (this is essentially pornographic material and hyper-violent films and games of disturbing realism).
