Disney is dick. Ruin most stuff they buy from others. If they put it out it would be 10$ with a 5$ minimum IAP for extra clicks and a 10$ get rid of video ads but it leaves in the pop ups.
One of the best adventures that I have played waaaaay back on PC. It had great story, nice atmosphere, fitting soundtrack and nice graphics (for it's time).
from what i see don't think it's legit, it runs like a charm (happy to have bought it), but i guess it's a compiled SCVMMVM with The Dig inside it... i'm sure that Apple is going to pull it as soon as finds out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqr_NxdKZ28 and i think this will be the next one, if the dev will not be banned from the store. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IgMbfMTXQcg
The dev will be banned for sure if he's not the legit porter of LucasArts (something which apparently is pretty obvious). The question is not "if" but "when". If you're really into "The Dig", you better back up your IPA in the computer, because it will be removed from your purchase history as soon as the dev is banned.
I took a gamble and brought it as I love old school point and click adventures. I've only played about 20 minutes but I can tell you it works and doesn't crash oh and it's amazing!
always back up all downloaded ipa files VBF, has a lot a dvds plenty of pulled games from 2009 till today!
I read Pocket Gamer and it says this is not a legit port. I think my US$4.99 can be better used elsewhere.
It appears that the Pocket Gamer article has been removed, since I cannot find it. A Google search actually provides a link to the story, but when I tap on the link, it just takes me to the Pocket Gamer home page. I tend to agree with you that my dollars are better spent elsewhere, since buying a non legit port means no customer support should there be any issues.
Get on in here, Pete. We may have a developer on a three hour collision course with Disney...! ## How would I best*just* back up this one app onto a OS X MacBookPro? Not enough room to backup the whole iPad Pro. Non-jailbroken.
I download the IPA from iTunes. Maybe you can do the same. I have an old iTunes version, v12.0.1.26, the last one compatible with iFunBox. I don't know if new iTunes versions download all the IPA or just the archives needed for the devices registered in it.
PG deleted the article and instead decided to tell people how to get the game using Scumm. "We reported on a classic Lucasarts game being available yesterday. As it turned out, it was a developer who simply took someone's work and tried to make a few bucks out of it so we took down that story."
compile scvmm for iOS is available only in a Mac atm, so if you own a PC you can't, besides is much more comfortable play all scvmm games through iDOS, if you have it installed (if you haven't, it's not tough to find and install it ), they run perfectly there.
As I understand it, iDOS is nerfed on iOS 9 and there is no longer any way to transfer content into iDOS on the phone. Do you know of a way to use SCUMMVM on iOS 9 w/o jailbreak?
In related news, someone (I am not disclosing, please don't ask) hand made an emulator for iOS (universal) which supports GB, GBC, MD, SNES, GG which you can compile using XCode, the product comes with full MFi-controller support and no JB required. You just need an Apple Developer ID...
So impressions on the game: works almost perfectly and the sound is spot on. Very high quality sound. The only thing I've found that doesn't work is the moon lander mini game in the PDA device. If I remeber you needed to use the arrow keys on a keyboard to play it. So it would make sense why you can't play it on here unless virtual buttons are added. Also, I can't tell how or if the game saves. Seems to remeber my spot when I close the app but I haven't tried quitting the app and trying it.
I have iDOS 2, but side loading the app was closed off on iOS 9.. This does not appear to be a viable option for iOS 9 users (i.e. almost anyone with an iPhone 6 or later.) Do you have iDOS running on iOS 9 and are still able to sideload content from PC?!?!
