Original game you’re referring to is from Madfinger Games, which is a Czech studio - creators of Dead Trigger and Shadowgun franchises. This Zygote company has just one game on the App Store. I don’t think they’d get a license for such title. Makara Nou likes this. Just wanted to let you know I already contacted Madfinger Games just to make them aware of the situation and possibly if they could shed some light on the licensing and whatnot. I’m just curious, that’s all. I got warm memories of playing Samurai II back in the days and I want to know what direction is this franchise moving. Not to mention despite the fact you marked this thread as Universal, the screenshots on the App Store are all widescreen and there’s no sign of iPad native support whatsoever. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 704 113 #8 anthony78, Mar 4, 2020 So not available in the US? Since release of fake Cuphead just sitting on the App Store and Apple doing nothing about it despite their awfully long and strict approval process, I’m just vigilant about what I’m installing on my iPad. And if someone just grabs a franchise trying to milk money out of it, the least I can do is make an awareness about it. If everything’s legit about this game - no harm, no foul. Otherwise there’s a proper licensing, artworks copyrights and whatnot. The reason it’s not in the store is likely because Marek got wind of it and sent Apple a takedown notice. macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #12 macplash, Mar 4, 2020 @squarezero unfortunately, it’s still available for me. As much as Madfinger is focused elsewhere (mostly FTP shooters) these days, Marek has soft spot for the Samurai franchise, and has kept the Samurai 2 updated over the years. I think it’s unlikely that he gave Zigote a license to the artwork. macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #14 macplash, Mar 4, 2020 @squarezero and it’s gone!
