This game was $9.99 a year ago and now it's free. Now I can get a full game, completed with Chapter 3 for $1.99. This is by far the best RPG-style puzzle game. Nothing can touch it!
Wow, I had this for the PSP, so I didn't get this for the IPhone, but at free, I am definitely downloading it. Perhaps I can now play without those annoying bugs present in the PSP version.
Well, i don't know if it's an ipad thing (cause is where i'm playing it) but the game looks horribly blurry and pixelated and worst: it stutters and freezes constantly. It's by far the worse version of the game (brilliant however) on any platform and the worse optimized app i've ever seen. Pity.
I hope puzzle quest 2 comes as pad native, and is build from the XBLA art... Because this version isn't up to the XBLA or psp versions of PQ, not even close. And please make the drops feel more like they are at least close to 32ft/sec^2... I'll still likely buy PQ2 on pad/phone, have the game pre ordered on ds, waiting on the psp announce, and will definitely buy it on XBLA... But this version doesn't make me excited about the pad version which I hope is coming on the 25th along with ds and XBLA.
One of the complaints of the first version was that the art was blurry so no it's not an issue with the iPad. The game hasn't been updated for 3.2 and higher firmware which changes and adds lots of new APIs. I'm not crashing all the time on iOS 4 but I'm getting a few as well
Whoa, best free app so far. Do some of you guys experience multiple slowdowns and some graphic glitches on the iPhone 3G aswell? It´s not the best port of the game as it seems, but you can´t argue with free. Not much to say about the game itself, it´s pure genius and very well worth your time. Yes, it´s not a problem with the screen protector. The game generally responds kind of slow sometimes.
On the bigger ipad screen the effect is a lot more ugly... but 66% free of an excellent game even with blurry and slowdown, how complain? And even get the full game is cheap. I'll keep my buy on PQ2 when it will be released to get it on the ipad or Mac. It's so much comfortable than any other device, for this game. I played it Mac/PC/DS and the ipad is potentially the best suited. I hope next port will be better done.
At free this is an excellent game. I just downloaded it but enjoyed it a lot on the DS. Couldn't justify buying it for the iTouch when I already owned the DS version but now that it's free, time to match some skulls!
