And purchasing chapter 3 works well? Just upgraded my OS - that was the last drop ;). Never deleted PQ from my ipod since I got it last March - was very slowly bringing a second character along. Hm... should I go into the new chapter with my wizard or finish my rogue first? Decisions, decisions.

This sucks, I bought the whole game via the lite version and it still says Free on it... :( Not a huge deal, but I just hate seeing FREE stamped on a game I paid for. :p

So how much does the whole package costs? Do they plan on making it only one app?

The "whole package" can be obtained for $4.99 if you get the free version of the app and then choose the option to buy chapters 1, 2 and 3 in the in-app store. You'll have "Free" displayed on the icon, but you'll have the full experience.

Nobody knows if they plan on releasing a single package-app with all three chapters, though if they were going to I don't know why they didn't when they pushed out the update... It could just be held up in approval though, so if you're really fussy about icon appearance you could wait. It seems incredibly unlikely that they price for that would be less than 4.99 though, which seems like an oversight due to the fact that the chapters 1+2 app costs 4.99 with chapter 3 as an additional 1.99 purchase.

    Can somebody answer me this...

Does the iPhone version have the quick action vs. mode? Basically where you can choose to play as any creature/character vs. the AI using any other creature or character? Even more importantly, are all new creature/characters from chapter 3 included in this mode (if still in the iPhone version)? Lastly, does it track your best scores in this mode (although I never knew what these scores were based on and wonder if the game was clever enough to give you a big bonus if you chose one of the game's weaker creatures to play as)?

    Thanks in Advance!

There's an "instant action" mode where you can jump straight into a battle with any of your created heroes. I think (not 100% sure) that any progress your character makes is also saved to the main quest. I only recently started and still playing the first chapter.

or you can buy chapter 1 for $1.99 and then choose the option to buy chapters 2+3 for $2.99 in the in-appstore.

    Yeah...

Which would really annoy me if the game weren't so damn good.

So I did the update, and then bought Chapter 3 from the in-app store. I had been capped at level 40 for a couple of months, even though I could see quests available that required level 45.

After a bit of playing, I realized I was capped at 50. But I only have like 27 skill points...and I thought it was 4 points per level?

On top of that, my game now crashes during any battle. Very frustrating! Anybody having that problem?

I figured out what it was...if I equip a weapon with stats "+2 dmg when enemy casts a spell," the game crashes as soon as the enemy starts casting.

I changed my weapon and the game hasn't crashed again. Somebody else want to test this and see if it happens to them?

Well there's definitely a LOT of gameplay that's hard to quantify in terms of hours. The mini-games are build into the game, so you can spend a lot of time training your mount, capturing monsters, researching spells or making new items. It's really up to you if you want to do those. (You probably have to) There's also a ton of side-quests.

Also it's great to try out the other classes, which means even more replay value.

Okay, so an easy question: when you purchase the 3rd chapter, does it require a wifi download? Or is the third chapter already included in the last updated? I only ask because I don't have access to a wifi connection.

Question for anyone who owns this, what is the best way to get all three chapters? I just found out that Chapter 3 was updated recently and now I want to pick this up. I didn't buy Puzzle Quest before because it was incomplete.

What is the best way to get all three chapters? Does the in app purchase trust worthy on this game? I've had some in app purchase issues in the past, so I'm always a little hesitant.

As I said - no problem to buy all three chapters in-game. It is trustworthy.
And btw., buying Chapter 1 & 2 over the AppStore wll cost you 4.99$ and Chapter 3 (only available as in-app purchase) another 2 bucks. So you can save 2 bucks by buying all chapters in-app.

I think the best option is to download the lite version and then upgrade to the full version in -game.

Can you buy Chapter 1 for $1.99 and 2-3 for $2.99? I'd prefer to not have the free icon, but I will if there isn't a choice.
