thanks for the heads up ! i've been waiting to see if this would ever be finished and now that it is have bought it. And thanks to your method - free version, then dlc all 3 chapters have it for €3.99 / $5.99 - as you say seems a bit strange but i'm not complaining
Yeah, that is weird about the pricing. I still don't know if I even have the 3rd chapter. As I was buying it, it just seemed to go dead and I had to leave for work. And now it's just back to the "updating store" white screen for the past 30 minutes.
Thank you for the advice! Yes, same here in the US. It is odd, on iTunes store I have PQ 1,2 at $4.99 but if I buy PQ lite on DLC I can buy PQ 1,2 & 3 for $4.99. First time I am playing this game and I love it!
After the update the game plays almost too fast. Sounds like a strange complaint, but when this game first came out it was super sluggy and had issues. Now when you make a move (on my 3GS at least) it feels like the pieces animate almost too fast. I guess that's a good problem to have but it messes with the feel. Anyone else notice this?
After more than 10 automatic level ups due to the previous level cap, I finally started chapter 3 (meaning, finding new quests, cutscenes, new music too, opened new zones). The king is back, definitevely. Maybe it's just me, but graphics seems much more crips than I remebered, and it's super smooth (but I changed my 3G and now I have a 3GS). Lot of sleepless nights ahead.
I've a 32 3GS too, but I'm not complaing. Seems supersmooth, especially the particle effects...but, at least imho, doesn't seem accelerated or too fast.
So does buying chapter 3 add anything like better graphics if you have yet to beat the first 2 chapters? In other words, does buying chapter 3 do more than just add chapter 3?
An interesting tidbit (well, at least I find it interesting): IGN recently named PuzzleQuest: Challenge of the Warlords the #12 best PSP game of all time. Nice to see that we have another AAA portable title on the platform.
I'm glad that I kept this installed instead of giving in to temptation and deleting it to make room for other apps!
Nice! This is one of the few games I have played on several platforms, several times - just to play through with different characters! Now finally to have the complete story here is wonderful! I am glad I did not delete it - if only for nostalgic reasons - but now for a very good reason!
According to Alec from transgaming: "Chapters 1, 2 and 3 all contain elements from the expansion - it's not quite as cut and dry as on other platforms. Regards, Alec" I'm not sure if that means that all the expansion material is in there or not.
I downloaded the whole game this same way, getting the Lite first and then buying all 3 chapters as DLC for $4.99. Is there a way to get the Puzzle Quest icon without paying for the whole thing again, or am I stuck always having the PQ Lite icon?
Not entirely sure but I think you're stuck with the icon. Reason being that the Lite and Paid versions will have different store ID numbers and so be classed as different products. So, if you really want a "clean" icon then it would mean purchasing the other version. Unless somebody else knows differently? Look at this way, when you're playing the game, the very last thing in your mind should be the icon!
Yeah, I have no idea what this means...are there things added to chapters 1 and 2? With the chapter 3 purchase, I do have everything I need to finish the game...right?
It states on the transgaming website that there is over 80 hours of gameplay within all 3 chapters..... Can anyone who has finished the game verify this? That is an insane amount of gameplay. http://grab.by/30rQ http://www.gametreelive.com/puzzlequest/faq/
