Sorry to bring this back but has anyone found out any info on when Ch. 3 will come out, if it even does?
On August 6th I was told: "Hi Jeff, I just wanted to note that Chapter 3 will be on the App Store and available as an in-game add on for $2. " That was the last I heard. It was to make me feel better about my character after 20+ hour of play being deleted by their online profile storage system thingy. I'd put it in the catagory of vaporware... If it isn't out for the holidays I don't see why they'd bother when they have Galactrix and the Puzzle Quest sequels coming out. The original is dead IP at this point.

He might mean puzzlequest 2 which was anounced not too long ago for xbla. That may come to the app store
Argh....OK. I've still a lot of places in my actual PQ where it requires a level above the cap to continue... It's a pity the game seems abandonated....it's one of the best of the App Store imho.
C'MON - FREAKIN RELEASE CHAPTER 3 OF THIS GAME!! HOW REDICULOUS TO PROMISE THE FULL GAME AND NOT RELEASE THE FINAL CHAPTER... what a shame... yes the caps do mean that i'm yelling....................
By the way.. Does anyone know if chapter 1&2 are the complete game? I know they're releasing the 3rd chapter, but on slidetoplay they state the chapter 2 completes the main game that was released on other consoles. I have completed the game on the Nintendo DS and in the last few minutes completed Chapter 2 on my Touch. Chapter 2 does not complete the main game. Towards the end it has you run several fetch errands so that you have a special item to challenge the boss, and then the second you have the item it tells you that you have completed the game and to wait for chapter 3. As far as the XBLA content, some of that is already included in Chapter 1 & 2, that being extra character types, spells, and creatures. Heck, I even had a spot tell me that I couldn't accept a quest until I was level 45, yet Chapter 2 caps you at 40. I must say I am quite peeved. The chapter end felt like it came out of nowhere. I spent several hours doing what I feel was druge work to continue the story only to have it abruptly end and no word on when it will be continued, if ever. BTW: For those who have played other versions and wondering what item I am referring to above... I don't want to give too much away, but the last thing I had to "fetch" was the skull of a God.
Yeah, this whole situation is such a shame. One of my favorite games of all time has been destroyed by Transgaming (the company that was in charge of the port). They've left us all hanging and they havn't updated the game in over a year. NO response to emails or anything for quite awhile.
This was the best game on the iPhone in its time and still my favorite RPG for the platform. I am definitely hoping they will release the 3rd part, because it wasn't satisfying to stop at the end of chapter 2.
Me too! Me too! I've finished Puzzle Quest on iPhone (ch1&2) and, despite still being one of my favorite iPhone game, I was VERY disappointed by the abrupt ending...I still have some places where I CANNOT accept quests because more than 40 lvl is required, I didn't understand the 'Dragon' part (supposed to be explained in the ch.3), nobody in the Puzzle Quest 'world' recognize I've vanquished the Evil... Very disappointing... The only reason I keep the icon on my iPhone is because if I delete it I would loose all my progression (BAD THING BY APPLE, STILL UNRESOLVED) and I hope that, SOMEDAY, Transgaming will come out with chapter 3. Again, VERY disappointed.
I am waiting desperately, too. I loved the game. I just contacted TransGaming, Inc. and asked them to come over to Touch Arcade and talk to us...
Puzzle Quest and Gemmed! (by Wasted Pixel) are my two favorite match-3 iPhone games. It would be a shame not to see TransGaming continue with their plans for completion of Puzzle Quest, but if they are unable/unwilling to follow thru then hopefully the work they've invested in the first two chapters will land with a team that can. Hopefully Puzzle Quest 2 will make it to the iPhone / iPod Touch / iPad as one of the release platforms. It would be great if the team that finishes off Puzzle Quest Chapter 3 can put that experience to good use on Puzzle Quest 2.
Good to know. This was one of the 1st games I picked up when I bought my iTouch and has been one of the few that I just haven't deleted for space, non-replayability, lack of content, etc... Man I hope they give us good news because Chapter 3 is done SO well. With implementing Chapter 3 they may have to up the entire polish of the game itself. Could be thats whats taking so long. We can only hope so...
