Yeah I would like to know the same thing. Because I want to get this game, but if chapter 3 isn't added as a free update I might as well wait until it comes out and by the whole trilogy.
I'd like to know that as well, but I don't think the dev is particularly active around here and we'll likely not know until it happens if it happens...
agree with that. I played original Puzzle Quest on PSP, but still would like to get it for iPhone since it was supposed to be trilogy... but who knows what will happen (if it will happen)
I am sure they are done. They dont' even respond to emails regarding technical issues anymore. Most diappointing dev I've have to work with on here. I don't expect to see the sci-fi version, whatever it's called, but I wouldn't get it from them anyway. They've lost their support from me, and I would be glad to share my experiences as a "buyer beware" via emails exchanged with them, just so I'm not some anonymous guy on a message board griping with no evidence as backup.
Well, I was scrolling around on their twitter @transgaming and according to them they are going to release Chapter 3 "soon." Someone asked them if Puzzle Quest Chapter 3 will be available soon and their reply was this: This is in development under the new 3.0 release and should be available shortly... we will tweet when ready. So apparently it should be arriving shortly, whenever shortly is. I haven't found anything about whether or not it will be as a paid update, free update, or whatever yet though.
That would be good news if they did release it. It is currently taking up valuable real estate on my iPhone because I don't want to lose my character data (assuming they release part 3 as an upgrade).
Its happening (at least to my knowledge). They are also adding a Private Label version of OpenFeint into the game.
While I wait for this to come out on iPhone, I was going to buy it on PC for my wife to play (and me too). Does anyone know if the PC version has all three levels or do I need to buy expansion packs for it? not sure, according to wiki "An expansion for the game, Revenge of the Plague Lord, was released on July 23, 2008 for the Xbox Live Arcade and was included in the October 9, 2008 release on the PlayStation Network. It was also released as a free update for the iPhone OS version. The expansion features 4 new character classes (Bard, Rogue, Ranger and Warlock), and an expansive new area on the Southern Map containing more than 25 challenging quests, 50 new spells, 40 new magical items and new monsters to combat, as part of the story of Antharg, the Lord of Plague and brother to Lord Bane.[15]" I would say PC version is chapter 1 only, but I cant confirm it
As far as I know only episode 1+2 are available for the PC. Both episodes are in the main game. Episode 3 is only available for XBLA as addon.
I emailed the game creators a while back to ask about chapter 3 and this is the response I just got today... "Hello, Thank you for taking the time to write to us about PuzzleQuest's chapter and pricing structure. I am sorry that it has taken us so long to get back to you about this. PuzzleQuest is available on the App Store in the following two options: Ch1 stand-alone is $2. Ch1&2 bundle is $5. Ch 3 will be available as an in-game addition for $2. Please note that Ch 3 is not yet available on the App Store. May your gems always match and your spells never be resisted! Alec TransGaming Support www.transgaming.com" So I'm guessing that means that if you buy 1+2 you can buy Chapter 3 in-game and not as a separate icon? I dunno, I'm still a little confused.
I believe they mean chapter 3 will be available via in-app purchasing. So you will pay $2 to add chapter 3 content to the Chapter 1 and 2 app you already have. Hence, it will still only take up one space. EDIT: Btw, thanks for emailing them for us! I was too lazy to do it myself.
I just recieved the same email from them today. I was thinking about replying back and confirming just that. I will go buy chap 1&2 now if I can add chap 3 later for a few bucks.

Best match-3 game imho. Extremly deep gameplay, tons of objects and skills. Hope to see galactrix on iphone.
