Ah! Now you answer my question!!! Thank you!!! I was esitant to create a new 'game' (to test out some things) fearing I would loose my principal one.
Exactely. Now I have one character, with HIS quest. If, just to try the start of the game with ANOTHER character, I tap the 'new quest' button, will I loose the previous one? Or if I switch characters, and I re-select the original one, I'll continue HIS original quest? Sorry for being unclear. Many thanks.
I second this question....can you use two characters with their own story lines at the same time or will you lose one character when you try to create a new one?
Is this game really worth $7.99? This a deciding factor for me. I love RPGs but I am not used to the gem system. Like I said I loved the lite version. I just want to know if it is worth the money.
The game is worth $20 - $25, so buy it while it is 7.99. I was skeptical too, but loved the lite version and I DO NOT REGRET IT AT ALL!
You can have multiple heroes with their very own quest profiles. EXAMPLE: So, right now I have two heroes on the go, each with their very own quest progression, inventory, stats, etc. Just to make sure I'm not insane, I just loaded up my level 7 rogue and then my level 2 warlock and they're both at their own spots in the story mode, exactly where I left them off. Hopefully this clears it up, I don't know how else to explain it And is this game worth it? I dropped $8 on it before Chapter 2 and it's easily my best purchase out of $100+ of apps I've bought. That was before the latest patch and before receiving an additional 20+ hours of gameplay. I wasn't used to the whole gem thing and wasn't sure if I'd like it, but once I gave it a chance I love it now. Besides, there's a lite version to try, no excuses! As far as value and polish goes, it simply doesn't get better than this. Congratulations, Transgaming!
Quick question, I enjoyed the lite version, but it still felt a little buggy. It sounds like 1.3 adds even more refinement/optimization as well as including "chapter 2", is that right? Oh also, one thing I didn't like with the lite version was that if i pressed the iphone's home button to exit out, it didn't save my progress in the middle of a battle. I know that's similar in functionality to the 360 version (i.e. you can't save in the middle of a battle), but it'd be tremendously helpful on a mobile platform. So, is there anyway to pause mid-battle? Does it usually auto-save at certain points or do you have to manually save it? thanks!
If you don't like match 3 games then don't buy this. If you're into match 3 then the current priced is easily worth it.
Past versions (before 1.3) didn't even give you an option to exit from a battle (you had to exit with home). Now, in 1.3 you have a little red X you can hit, but it warns you that it won't save your battle progress, which sucks and would be my only complaint, seeing as it's a game on a mobile phone, it should save during battles as they can become lengthy (5+ minutes). I imagine that this will be a common complaint to the developers and can see it being patched in the near future. Just thought of something: What if you put the phone in stand-by? Would it turn back on during a battle? I can't try this out at the moment.
Although the polish in version 1.3 has increased once again, I just ran into a new problem: on the level up screen, the info pop-up window for the top two skills is cut off a bit by the top of the screen. Is anybody else seeing this? I can still read everything fine, but when the rest looks so good, it's a bit jarring. Thankfully the bug in 1.2 where the scroll background image on which the quest text was displayed being scaled wrong seems to be gone. I was wondering if this is a common bug and it Transgaming is going to keep updating and fixing this thing. P.S. I don't want to sound overly negative, but the performance in the gem matching game could still be better.
I disagree...it isn't like a match three because the rules change and you aren't just trying to match...you are trying to get gold, hearts, mana for spells, and attach the enemy. I would say,if you like the lite version...buy the full and enjoy 40+ hours of gameplay. by the way, is the 20 hour rating on each chapter for one character or assuming you use all of the characters?
Yeah, I also disagree. I never liked gem matching games because there was no real goal or twists, with puzzle quest you are basically battling enemy AI by using your spells and gems and there's a surprising amount of depth / strategy to it. Let me say it again - I've always hated gem matching games and puzzle quest turned that around. That's like converting someone's sexual preference
That works, if you push the power button to turn it to standby, you can get back to where you left off mid battle when it goes back on. not sure what is will do to battery life though...
Good update content wise but the performance when in the gem game is still not up to par with the other versions. Also some optimizations need to be done to the creatures pictures before you fight them as they are all cropped and missing half there features. Keep up the good work Transgaming with another update you can fix this and turn it into a perfect version of Puzzle Quest.
So....is the 20 hour rating on each chapter for one character or assuming you use all of the characters?
