Wait, so is it safe to upgrade? As in, will it delete my hero, or dos it store my hero/progress on their servers??
I stored my chars on their server. As far as upgrading is concerned, it's working seamlessly for me. Managed to load my hero without a glitch.
Oh man, I want this but it will receive no playing time with The Quest really stealing the thunder for me right now. Nonetheless, this looks like loads of gameplay for 8 bucks. I might just add more to my backlog.
I can't update my game, it says everything is already updated on iTunes and on the iPhone, diferently from other apps that say "intalled" on the app store, this one says "buy"... Anyone has any idea why is this happening? Should I just wait?
Oh Sweet! You can touch your character portrait on the combat screen now to see all your stats, including what status effects are on you. The only issue I've noticed is that at times the game seems to have difficulty deciding which music track it wants to play.
Awesome, this easily the best match 3 game out there, now that the update is out I'm going to pick it up again.
TouchArcade wrote: "By our reasoning (not confirmed by Transgaming), this should include the entirety of the original Puzzle Quest Nintendo DS release, while Chapter 3 seems to represent a later expansion pack." So any news about that? Do we get with chapter 1 + 2 the original Puzzle Quest DS release? Could anyone compare the new iPhone version with the existing versions on other platforms?
WOW!!! Aside from Chapter 2 (GREAT!!! Already initiated) this update brings really MAJOR improvements. As already said, if you tap on enemy portrait or yourself, you can see equipped objects, magical resistance, levels and all other infos that were absent before. Now you can volountary exit combat with a little X in the low-right corner. I did a 8-9 chain without noticing any slowdown. FYI, if you played chapter one way past the level cap, nothing is lost...at the very first level up, you will be able to allocate all gained points (I bumped from level 25 to level 32)...beware....LOTS of quests appear I have some questions tough: 1) Talking with other players...I noticed I have only 3 companions...others have 5...is there a list of places where to find everyone? I did EVERYTHING in chapter one...but obviously I missed something big...or is it class related? 2) I keep hearing people talking about Transgaming servers...the game never asked me to save my char somewhere (I suppose it saves the char on my iPhone)... Any clue? 3) Where can I find infos about level resistance? How can I gain those (I'm talking about the little coloured shields in your stats, now visible in 1.3 version). 4) If I start a 'NEW QUEST' in the main screen, will I loose the current one or can I have more that one 'story' ongoing? (I didn't try in fearing character loss). Many thanks!!!
As far as I understand, this version is the full one (like the XBOX360 one) minus the expansion content. I mean, the expansion originally brought new areas/quest and NEW CLASSES, SPELLS, etc... With 1.3 version, we get the original main quest (DS and PSP) with all the classes, spells etc...(XBOX360 version). I think eventually a chapter 3 will bring us the new expansion areas. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's how understood.
How much? Okay, now that Chapter 2 is here with more improvements and another 20 hours, I think it is appropriate to discuss how much is a fair price for Chapter 3? Obviously, everyone would be happier to get something for nothing, but seriously, this is the most gaming entertainment I have ever had for my money, so I'm inclined to think I'd be happy to pay $5.99 for Chapter 3. For those who would complain that $5.99 is high, I would point out that Transgaming has accommodated re prior complaints, including making all the improvements suggested and tossing in Chapter 2. If there are any problems with their product, I have confidence they'll fix them. That alone is worth a bit extra. This has to be the best game in the App store right now. Imho, it's worth every penny.
Can anyone confirm this? Do we get the full game and "chapter 3" is just another name for "Revenge of the Plague Lord"?
Yes, the new improvements to the interface are great, not to mention all the new content! As to expansion, I was under impression that usual expansion model doesn't work with AppStore and that any expansions would need to be able to run independantly. Or am I just confused? Well, it shouldn't be an unsurmountable obstacle - they do make independantly running expansions on the PC occasionally, so it should be possible.
