Because of the way he put the weapon on his back. It's on the video, right after a battle scene.

I guess when he goes rogue, he does it all the way. LOL.

I noticed the thing about the assault rifle too, but then I realized that this guy isn't Commander Shepard so he doesn't have to keep his weapons in the same positions.

This is a new title for the iOS and is called Mass Effect Infiltrator, and it is not either of those.

I think of the game as something similar to the Tales Series of games. Whenever a battle starts, you take your weapon out, fight it out in real time against multiple enemies, then putting your weapon on your back means the end of combat... then combat stats start rolling. Then back to moving around in the map area.

So, for those with NZ accounts, how are the controls? Are they sometimes unresponsive, like in the gameplay videos, or are they good? And is the tap to aim system, weird?

guys, anybody have an overall verdict of this game? Worth the 6.99?

does it even come close to Dead Space, or Shadowgun for that matter??

I'm not a big fan of tapping to aim, and from what I heard you can't fire the gun?? It sounds like a free roam version of Epoch.

Anyway be curious to see if it comes into the same categorie of greatness of Dead Space? Thanks for the info.

[irony_mode] Cool! cover, shoot, cover, shoot, roll forward and start the same procedure again and again. Nice! [/irony_mode]

[serious_mode] Skip... thanks for the video though, Sanuku [/serious_mode]

Can't say I like the tap enemies to win mechanic, Dead Space iOS and Shadowgun will be more fun and challenging as a result, but it's Mass Effect, so I'm buying this.

Downloading Infiltrator 11pm tonight, and downloading the digital copy of Mass Effect 3 at 12. What a night.

    Really?!?

You're truly asking if a game tied to one of the greatest series' in modern gaming, with production values this good is worth $6.99?

    Blanket statement:

I can't belive anyone even questions the value of a game like this, with a cost of $7...maybe at like 15, 20, 40 or 60$ sure...but $7?! It's not like $7 is a huge investment, that rewards you with real handheld/console games.

iOS is a scaled back platform, where you are just now beginning to see the consequences of 1-5$ games. Games like this are the best you'll get, because no big publisher wants to sell their games and invest in the greatest development teams for cheap iOS games.

You can't expect Vita/3DS retail calibre for $7.

Buy it or don't, but if you're seriously contemplating that whole $7 maybe gaming isn't the right hobby, because you know, games cost $

I think this game looks kinda like BS garbage, and I have no problem paying 7 bucks or a lot more for iOS games that don't look like garbage ;) Just because something strikes your fancy doesn't mean it has appeal for everyone.

    Will it blend?

I'm pretty dang excited for it.

Hey dude, don't lecture me on inquiries about an iOS game !
Yes gaming is a very big hobby for me and I know games cost money, smart a#@ !

I actually buy a lot of iOS games upon their release. I bought the original COD WAW at 9.99 plus 5 bucks per map. also games like Shadowgun, BO zombies, Mc2 and Mc3, and many others at full price.( too many to list) Not to mention I play PC games and buy games on that platform.

The thing is now that iOS is advancing and their are so many great games, I like to check out reviews before I purchase. I can definately afford to get any game I want.

So next time save your lectures for some 10 year old.

I wanted to know opinions of this game. So anybody nice enough to give me a honest review would be appreciated.

Either you're bitter, blind or stupid - and from your appalling grammar I wouldn't bet against the latter. Firstly, if you meant it looks (e.g. aesthetically) like garbage, then you are completely wrong as regardless how subjective graphics are one cannot state a game of this graphical excellence as 'garbage'. However, if you infer the gameplay looks bad, how can you judge it from a simple trailer?

The fallacy of iPhone gamers is that they are essentially too greedy and cheap. There are numerous great games on iOS, don't get me wrong, but people aren't willing to spend upwards of $3 for them. iOS cannot evolve into a platform for more substantial or more developed games if people aren't willing to pay such a miniscule amount for a single game. A game like this should be praised for being so cheap, not slated for being 'garbage' and 'not worth $7'.

I think your wrong. A lot of people are willing to spend more than 3 bucks for an iOS game.

There is so much competition on iOS with so many great games that people are very choosy now.

Personally I have no problem paying for this game, it looks fantastic but I'm more concerned about gameplay. If it doesn't play well, I won't buy it.

I am none of these (okay maybe a little bitter ;) ), and my grammar is actually pretty solid, though I am only paying partial attention right now. The fact that you chose to attack me personally over a post about a game would seem to say a lot about your character however ;) I just think this game seems completely redundant on iOS. Another cover based shooter without real aiming that will likely only have serious appeal for the ME console crowd. My comments were specifically directed at the previous post which implied that anyone for whom this game does not seem "worth" 7 bucks, should quit gaming. That seemed pretty ridiculous to me. This game isn't worth 7 bucks if you already have half a dozen similar games on your device. It isn't worth 7 bucks if you simply don't enjoy the genre.

    Royce,

I totally agree with you, Pacifsun's statement was ignorant. Accusing someone of giving up a hobby because they are inquiring about game, lol.

I already own a whole bunch of FPS, TPS, games such as Shadowgun, Epoch, COD zombies,BO zombies, Desert zombie,Mc1,2,and 3, Archetype, Dead space, etc...

but I'm not sure if I want another TPS game so that's why I wanted a few opinions.

He had good reason to question the value of this game. EA could have easily stuck a similar price on the piece of crap that was Battlefield 3: Aftershock and I'd say that game wasn't even worthy of the time spent downloading it, let alone $7. Of course I expect this game will be much better, but I can totally understand him being cautious about buying it. I know $7 isn't much but it could be spent on one of many other iOS games which he could possibly enjoy more.

I agree that many iOS gamers complain too much about the price of some iOS games and unrealisticly expect top quality console games for their dollar, but I feel that you're picking on the wrong guy here.

I'm sorry, but does there really have to be an argument in the thread of every iOS game priced over $2.99 on the f**king price? CoD is the same game every year, but it's still the best selling series year after year for $60 a copy? Console games cost $60 for under 10 hours of gameplay often? Please stop. If you don't like the price, please keep it to yourself. If the gameplay/visuals/etc. are what concern you, don't mention the price.
