Glad to know you're active on those forums! This really is a wonderfully simple yet captivating game. :)
I think the biggest update would be online leaderboard for daily, weekly, monthly and all time leaders.

I don't know how you would do this, but some way to "Speed up" the initial phase? Seasoned players want to skip ahead to around plane #20 where it gets exciting, but wouldn't that skew the points? Maybe fast forward button instead?

I'd like to put forward my vote for a larger warning sign of entry point, if possible.

One more thing: display the previous personal record on the stats page, with a big rubber stamper thudding down when you have broken that record!

Thanks for feedback, I have a question

    Thanks hkiphone,

Thanks everyone for their feedback. What an awesome and unique thing this is to be able to have direct dialog with the people playing your game!

I can certainly see a few recurring themes such as more airports, and global leaderboards, however there are also plenty of practical and detailed ideas.

I have a question for everyone in general. How would you feel if you could make your own airports online?

    and

Is that something you would be happy to pay more for?

    Thanks for your input!

This game is ridiculously addictive. It's a quick play that keeps you wanting to go back for more. I love it!

New airports would be great. I would pay more for that. I also think different types of game play would be really cool including different levels, etc. For example, have level 1 with a one strip airport with just a few (10?) landings. Then, go to level 2 with 2 landing strips with more landings and planes, etc. and build up from there with airports getting larger, more planes, chaos, etc. And, the ability to have more than one 'life' would be nice too.

I would love that idea. I most likely would pay more for those features.

Quick question though; would it be a payed update, a new app, making this one like a "payed lite" edition, or will it be a free update to those who already have the app?

Being able to make your own airports would be awesome, I would pay a couple more dollars for that. Especially if it includes terrain features like mountains to block off routes (I'm thinking about HK and the old airport being close to some high hills). Have a chat with the developer of Slotz Racers, as he's got a seperate app for creating custom tracks, and uploading them to the server for other players to download and try.

Back on the original game, like TomBambadil says, set different stages for the game, with different airports, maybe even an extra plane, such as jet fighters, or hot air balloons. Set achievements like passing this round only after landing x number of helicopters. Maybe earn rewards from those achievements such as "Coffee Buzz" which lets you slow down the action for afew seconds. Lots of things you can try.

But the essence of the game is simplicity, do ensure you stick with that, or allow players ability to toggle these options. Tamper too much, and you verge on becoming a micromanagement Time Mananagement game with its own pros and cons.

I'm not sure I agree with a progressive campaign/story mode.

I don't think that "works" for this game. I like the single map progression. And you try to get a high score on it.

I do think new maps could be introduced... but I think the new maps would have their own gameplay balance. If that makes sense. It's like how Fieldrunners has multiple maps but different strategies for each.

I would interested in (and willing to pay for) the ability to create my own airports online. Particularly if those airports could be shared between people. That is one of the features that makes Slotz Racer so cool.

If you do end up introducing new aircraft, I would want the ability to designate which aircraft applied to a particular custom airport. Not all airports accept all aircraft. In fact, if you could configure, the difficulty level of the airports, that would be a nice addition.

    My Name is boardopboy...

    ...and I am a Flight Control-aholic.

I am at work, and I am freaking out because I can't play with my planes!

I really like a lot of the suggestions here, but like hkiphone says:

What ever improvements are made, it would be nice to see the ability to play the game as it stands now, as an option. Another game play option from the main screen or something!

Now if you'll excuse me, I must go deal with my Flight Control withdrawal symptoms in a dark corner... C'mon 5.30!!!

nah...I'd rather not work on airports but would love to have levels in the game! as opposed to just see how high your score can go....have goals, missions, levels, different airports etc...

New Airports would be nice but I don't want to edit them online and I don't want to pay extra.

What I would want is _definitive_ Landings. I'm sorry but it happened more than once to me that an airplane landed right at the beginning of the landing strip and other times it took up to a third into the runway to get a score. When you are getting further along in the game you need every tiny bit of screen for the airplanes and if the collision checks aren't exact, meaning if you can't count on a plane actually leaving the playable area the same way _every single time_ then you end up with collisions right above areas where you would've thought the plane would already have landed. I'm pretty pissed about this to be honest. So if you ask me - fix that first. And MARK the area on the runway. Once a plane touches that area, it's gone - PERIOD. This is the currently worst thing in this game and honestly there aren't that many things that could go wrong here.

Second item: I think it's pretty annoying to have the fastest planes being the biggest ones and having them enter at that speed onto the screen. I say make them slower for the initial 10 pixels - when you have 13 planes on screen and manage all of them not to collide it's pretty annoying when you just see a red exclamation mark and simply can not judge whether what is incoming is a fast plane so that you have to make room for it. It gets worse when there actually IS another object close to the entry point and immediately you get the red circle around the entering object, which makes it additionally worse judging WHAT is incoming there. Also you don't know the ANGLE of the entering object. On top of it all this almost always happens to me UNDER MY FINGER. I'm right handed and more than once I've had yellow planes moving perfectly towards their landing strip, then I managed a couple of big fast planes on the left hand side and suddenly game over - a fast red one entered on the lower right and I simply couldn't see it because MY FINGER IS NOT TRANSLUCENT :)

Solution: different Exclamation marks for the different plane types. Color them. About the angles: exchange the exclamation marks with arrows of the direction of the entering plane.

And about the new airports: do them yourselves, add them one by one once a week or month and use that to update the game. That way you can keep the players occupied and interested in the game.

I would not want to pay more for this game - it's the perfect 99 Cents application. Don't add too many features, this is a quick buy item, you'll lose players if you up the price. Solution: offer a new version with airport packs, new planes et cetera as Flight Control 2.0, 3.0 and so on, all for 99 Cents. It worked for Toy Bot Diaries and players who aren't done with the first one yet won't have to buy the next version.

Hope that was enough input from me, that's just my taste, others may want it differently.
