@firemint: i hate you for adding online scores. i shows me HOW BAD I'M DOING how can ppl score >2000 points. incredible. to be honest: what a great feature! i love to see how many ppl in my vicinity a) have an ipod/iphone b) registered their highscores c) are playing flight control d) are as bad as i am (high score 74) how many ppl must there be playing w/o registration. even much more. amazing success! congratulations! btw: could you let the starting music play (on low volume) during the whole game? it's soooo retro, and i'd love to hear it all the time.
You just made my day izeman! I've been staring at my own high score of 74 for a few weeks now! I'm trying to get to the next level, but all I end up with is a screen with loads of planes flying in tight circles, about 50 landed, and some idiot of a chopper pilot not realising he's got no chance of surviving a frontal collision with a jumbo jet...
Flight Control Cloudcell tells below the map: "All locations are deliberately incorrect by at least half a mile." I hope badly everybody reads this because the game placed me exactly in the state prison and a friend of mine into the cemetery. But anyway it's not amazing with our one or two crashs... 101... since two or three hours gameplay without any further success. Hard to stand the attacks of big red jets from all sides almost simultaneously. Nice game. I am not sure if I should love or hate it. It's a time eater. My number of total aircrafts landed is really awkward, isn't it? Should my boss know it?
New Cloudcell features Hi all, I wanted to let you know about some new features our Cloudcell team has just added to the web site. These features are available to all Cloudcell games, including of course Flight Control! We heard a lot of people talking about wanting to see how their friends are doing, so we've added the ability to follow other players, as well as to add tags to your profile. For example, you can search for all the people tagged Firmemint: http://flightcontrol.cloudcell.com/Tag.php?sTag=Firemint (I'm alexessory) Between tagging and following, you'll be able to put together some pretty cool personalised leaderboards You'll need to log in and edit your profle to add tags, and you can follow/stop following other players from their profile page. Also, in case you're wondering, Firemint has close to 40 employees and most work in different teams. A few people are assigned to multiple teams (eg managers, QA, and yours truly who gets to talk about our games to you guys!) but mostly everyone is in one team only - so the people working on Cloudcell features are a different bunch to the people working on the new airports coming in 1.2... or for that matter, the Firemint Real Racing team Cheers Alex
Very nice Alex. Any idea how close 1.2 is to submittion? I'm dying to try it out. TA was down last night and I beat my record by x2.5 or more.
Hi Danny, I know people are eagerly waiting for the new airports - I am too, believe me We don't have a release date yet, every time I ask I get told "when it's ready"! The guys (rightly) don't want to rush it, but as soon as they are happy that the new airports are fun and polished, we'll be submitting the update. Alex
Probably should post this in the Real Racing thread under upcoming games. You will probably have more chance of getting a response there.
True, no point in rushing it and getting bad airports. Well, we might both be awaiting the new airports, but if you ask kindly you get a beta / sneak peek. I don't.
Want a "new" airport right now? Just turn your iDevice upside down and play Flight Control (I am playing it always upside down, it's more comfortable for me.)
im looking forward to any new airports and new planes or other features they can give us. i know it will be great.
My Flight Control Review "Oops, I just caused a plane crash." Don't worry, it's okay, just a game. But if it is just a game, then why am I so caught up in trying to be promoted out of "Most likely to crash"? This game makes something simple, playable. Three types of planes are flying around the screen, and your job is to drag the right plane into the right landing area. With very appealing graphics, this game is hours of fun, just trying to get a higher score. The goal is just like the application name, to control flights. As more updates are planned to be released with new airports and more, this game is growing to be a big success. Don't underestimate the re playability either, because it definitely has that factor, no questions asked. The graphics shouldn't be overlooked either, the planes are very neat, and the airport's features aren't questionable either. Overall this is a great, solid game, with very fine graphics and much re playability. The game over screen will leave you saying, "How did I miss that?!?" This game is definitely worth the cheap asking price. "No, I can't right now, I need to land a few more planes."
Hey guys, check this out. I went to the Cloudcell Flight Control page: http://flightcontrol.cloudcell.com/ And in the top right hand corner, you can see the new airports!!!
