yayyyy i'm so glad Firemint came and left a message here! I've been subscribing to your Twitter feed, so that's been fun keeping up on GDC too! I don't need to know what is in the update, just that you're working on it! (although a tentative release date wouldn't hurt!! ) Thanks for recognizing your fans!
i think the game is ok, but I would like online scoreboards. not too happy about it unseating pocket god though ah well, the flight control fad will wear off after pocket god gets another couple updates
When we're happy that we've got everything in that should go in, and that it's as much fun as possible We want to get it to you guys as soon as we can but we don't want to rush it out the door before it's ready just to hit an arbitrary date... thanks very much for your patience!! We do appreciate it and I promise I'll tell you more as soon as I can
I suggest you try your best to take advantage that you are number one paid. It would multiply sales even more.
A better concern would be the "sale" price tag. Once it goes up, I'm about certain it'll fall off top. Now if they increase price with the update, that's a whole different story. From the look of things, price is going up before an update... I could be wrong though.
Learn from your enemies I think its great that you're trying to stuff as much as you can into the next update to make it really cool! However, the success of Pocket God seems to me that the constant updates is a real key factor in why the app had the #1 spot. It's not a long-lasting app per "usage" but the fact that it keeps getting updates and encouraging more people to try it must be a clear indication to developers that updates are seen as important to users? Perhaps you could take a leaf out of their book and release a series of updates, rather than one big one? What's your thoughts on that approach?
It's a little different, with an actual GAME. With pocket god, there's not much to the game, and the updates don't take a ton of time to come up with. With a game like this, it would be much more time consuming to release updates like pocket god.
With all the buzz about this game I finally bought it. Enjoying it so far -- it seems like a great pick and up play quickly type game.
For sure, but say they're currently planning one big update that has 5 new features. What if they released each feature as a separate update? Taking maybe even 2-3 weeks per update. I'm not complaining, just wondering if that would be feasible.
if pocket god is never mentioned again on this website, it will be too soon. its not a game! ban it! burn it!
Get your reading glasses on Haha I know mate... please read carefully and you'll see that I didn't say it was a game: "the success of Pocket God seems to me that the constant updates is a real key factor in why the app had the #1 spot. It's not a long-lasting app...."
yay 176!! man sometimes i feel like theres so much luck involved. sometimes it can get so crowded so early, sometime even after 100 theres like 3 planes on the screen. it all depends on how many planes of each type u get. as for the update, all i hope for is online scoring..pleaseeeeeee. makes it more "competitive". and it would make it easier to compare score if there are multiple maps/ airport
LOL!!!! Now THAT really should be qftt!!!! On the other hand, how the frig did he manage to get even over 200??? I'm barely managing 100 these days! Then again, I do have a wife, and her belly's getting bigger...
Can't believe I bought this! Such a timewaster... Great timewaster! I hope for cheatproof online scoring. I'd be at the top in no time with my 57, and you'll all be caught red handed for the bunch of photoshop cheaters you ALL are! I can't put up a picture of my 57, 'cos my daughter deleted it, I stand at 54 now. ( Man I hate this game, as soon as I've got another 10 spare minutes I'll beat it proper solid with a 60 or something...)
