Is this sale coming to the US AppStore ? Holding to buy this game because of the price and knowing EA, they will lower the price soon. What's the sale price equivalent in dollars at the moment ?

True. Repeatedly raped and enjoyed Dead Space for iPad and I'd say even if they'll have a 25 cent sale right now, with the fun I got, I'd gladly play $20 or more for it. If today is the New Year, this game is a very strong contender for Game of the Year in every site. Sounds overhyped but its totally a beast of an experience in the iOS. I didn't really personally find it scary but the atmosphere, graphics and butter smoothness of this game puts it so ahead of other iOS games to date.
How long does it take to beat this game? Is it a mirror of the console port or a watered down version with a lot of aides to help you for lack of a better control scheme? I'm looking to buy it, but not if it's short.
If you explore and try to get all the Nodes and Credits it might take you around 5 hours (some say 6). But for hardcore gamers, there's a speed-run achievement of finishing the game for 2 hours. Which means to hurry and rush as fast as possible which is quite a task. This is separate from the console Dead Space games. It's a special prequel to the Dead Space 2 console story and is made specially only for the iOS.

The lighting effects look really nice on the ipad2. Unfortunately the lack of necromorph shadows ruins the experience for me on the bigger screen. It was amazing when I played it on iPhone 4, perhaps my tolerance for graphics is lower on a mobile device.
picked this up. It looks amazing. Controls kinda suck though. If the ipad was like .5 lb it might be better, but the controls are definitely made just for iphone.
Awesome video. For me the biggest difference is that games don't lag anymore. That was my biggest problem with iPad 1. Now, not only do games look much better, but they ALWAYS run at 60FPS... As far as Dead Space goes I bought it because reviews said it's cool and because it was 1$.. I don't really like horror in general, but even as a shooter it's quite great.
Does anyone know if updating an existing game clears all your progress and DLC? I've read it in a review but i'm not sure if just happens if you install on another device.
