Anyone know how to access the wallpapers? I saw the request come up once early in the game but had no achievements to unlock them. Now I do, so what the heck do I do?
can I actually go back to level 1 without starting a new game? I'm on level 3 now. I loved the room with all the zombie corpses! Really freaked me out!
Exactly my point: how do I access main menu once the game gets started? The Options and Help menus don't take me there.
On the bottom it says "quit" when you pause it. You lose all the data between checkpoints though, so watch out.
I think it's saves after each purchase or upgrade. I would like a quick save feature, just to go back to a spot if I need to quit the game for a while. I think ammo should be more frequent too. It does introduce more strategy, but even while killing most enemies in two shots or less, I find my self running laps around them while I heal and wait for the stasis to charge so I can hit them with the melee weapon. Still enjoying the game though. But I'm not sure I'm gonna go through a second time, unless there's more content added.
Sledgehammer congratulations for the AWESOME game really! its superb!!! the best game of EA for the iPhone!!! (altough NFS: Hot Pursuit its also incredible=)). hope this sell enough to see DLC added in the future, and hope you guys can use this engine to make more games for the iOS, thank you!!!! for making this
I can't believe how epic this game is! Oh my god the ending is a complete mind**** at the max! XD EA deserves hand held game of the year, not Epic.. Just kidding. Hey does anyone know the secret gift that u received upon registering, not the node, but the other one. Tried searching for it but no luck
Awesome post, so true. At least other iPhone gaming websites didn't give bad reviews. Eli and Brad can say "we recommend the game" at the end of the review, but that doesn't dismiss the fact that they have seemingly belittled the game on control issues that IMO, aren't as bad as they make it out to be. Brad also must have been half asleep because some parts of the review were badly written, eg: "It feels like a one-off experience just so happens to take place before the events of Dead Space 2 on the mining colony “Sprawl.” I think "that", or some sort of word at least, belongs between "experience" and "just". "Dead Space is really good at making feel both helpless and alone in the face of something much, much larger than yourself." Making you.. "The sound design, in particular, is ridiculous good." Is that a meme? A proofread is in order next time, I think. I don't mean to chastise Brad's writing, but it just irks me that a review on TA can be written with -- IMO -- so many mistakes. Oh, but his review did seem to me to wax poetic a bit, which I really enjoyed. For example, " You can connect with the setting, but you recognize it as alien. And it’s in solitude that you dwell." I have heard rumours that TA are out for blood (slight exaggeration) because they didn't get a Dead Space preview or something, and if that is the case it's a real shame if that had influence over what seems to me as a bad review for a game that is just superb. Anyway, moving on...I have only played to the end of the first level (too bloody scared to move on) but I am really enjoying it at the moment. The sound in the game is absolutely AMAZING with earphones in.
@sledgehammer Any plans for a sequel? Or maybe another game entirely? Wink wink There are many EA titles that I would like to see on the iPhone.
I have read that the average time for completion for this game is around 6 hours, but has anyone mentioned how many chapters the game has?
Well I've just had my first glitch/bug. I think I'm near the end of chapter 7. I've got to "Go to the tram station", and on my way there after destroying wires and such a wave of enemies come. I mutilate a good bunch of them, but then they stop appearing, the red alert light is still on, and music is playing. And for some strange reason the game is playing really choppy at this point (Frame skips or something). I'll restart from checkpoint later...
It seriously feels like I'm having a heart attack when I get scared in this game..I'm terrified of the worst scary movies even, and this game is too much for me..lol. Such torture playing through this incredibly and carefully designed game..such a waste, ugh why am I such a wimp. Oh..and this is all with the lights on and sound on 1 bar with the ipod touch speaker..with people around.
I found a bug too- after your first elevator ride, note that the elevator has a working "down" button. It leads to a pitch black endless room that you cannot get out of. Like the secret rooms of metriod prime.
It still has it's moments for me. But after playing the entire series and reading the comics / watched the movies, you get less creeped out and more pissed off that you are mentally getting screwed with.
