Yes! Man I hate scary movies, and the only games of the genre I've played are on the iOS. I was in my AP Computer Science class when I reached that room in level 2..I was right next to my girlfriend when that thing nearly gave me a heart attack..I expected something to happen, but not quite like that. Yeah..the sound was barely even on and yeah I pretty much fell out of my chair, and she took over playing for me until the end of the level . Haven't touched it since..I'ma try to man up and play some more in my room and possibly some when I'm in bed in the dark with headphones, but that's probably wishful thinking..
this has got to be the top game of this year... so far i'm ready to see angry birds knocked off the #1 spot
I agree completely. I love love love love love TA and their awesome game reviews, however, I can't help but wonder if they shun bigger titles over indie titles. Their iOS game of the year being Space Miner, as an example... Dead Spac iOS is stellar, any way you slice it.
Wow, anyway my friend(who is a girl) walked into my trig class today and was like oh shit guess what? Dead space 2 is out today. Imma pick it up after school I was like me too and we laughed. Wow what's with girls and dead space?
What is all these yapping and blabbing that i keep hearing on this forum about control. Honestly i really cannot get a hold of the the Dead Space these people are describing because the one i am playing is controlling marvelously. So could you complainers and TA be a little specific about what your problem with the control is because i can't see it. Honestly, most of the nonsense people keep repeating here about control have been cleared up to death: - To drop your weapon, swipe up on the left side of the screen - You can move Vandal around without even removing your finger from the spot where you placed it on the screen, just nudge it a little bit. - Strategic dismemberment is almost as precise as it is on the console to the point that i have gotten the achievements awarded for killing two Necromorphs with a single shot and taking off 3 limbs of a Necromorph at once. Honestly, where is you peoples' problem so that you can be put straight. Then again, i guess some people are just contented with having to move around with a virtual joystick while turning around at the same time with it (Resident Evil) or drooling over SEGA's disgusting emulator ports all in the name of nostalgia. Respect hardwork and commitment when you see one and Dead Space IOS is one that is a result of those virtues.
Haha I got my gf into gaming after giving her my old ipod. She used to hate games. Lol I didn't even tell her I played games until like after our one year xD. Yeah..she likes scary stuff..ugh. It's pathetic, but during scary movies..I'm the one hiding behind her in the theater. Heh...
I know, idk how girls do it but they are more man when it comes to scary movies although I'm really not that scared.
I agree, TA is too indie friendly when it comes to review. I feel this controls better than lets say aralon which I never really got into due to some issues, I also felt like the combat is spot on, you are never really meant to kick ass in DS, you are supposed to feel dread and afraid of almost every encounter, a feeling that you may end up dead in every encounter. I also have to say that the TA review did make me hesitant to get this title but I am glad that I did.
Could anyone please tell me where some of the power nodes are? My friend got six by the second level while I've only got two...
I got two also so theyre prob lying cos i searched all over, On a seperate note has anyone got the instore upgrades, are they worth 1.19 each? Cut off their limbs
Explore everywhere. Look for lockers and wall cabinets, basically they will have a blue light on them to show they are not empty. Then you will see the selection ring on them as you approach closer.
I don't have any suggestions, but I do have a bug to report. I'm using iOS 4.2.1 on an iPod Touch G2, and I have discovered a small bug that that disables the game's sound FX's and music when you exit the help menu while in game. For some reason the game will set the Sound FX and Music sliders to zero (which can be fixed by turning the sliders back up). This isn't a big issue, but it still is worth looking into. Also as for the game... I am about 4 hours in and at chapter 8. It's pretty great so far. Really enjoying it.
Yeah that's happening to me too, im running iOS 4.2.1 on an iPod Touch 4th gen. That's probably happening on all devices.
No, he showed it to me, and I recognized the level he was on. I also know he didn't buy any upgrades, as his iTunes store balance stayed the same.
They're all in locker shaped things. I have 5 and I'm only done with level 2. Check the rooms after you kill enemies and check the rooms where you cut all the wire back in level 1.
Yeah is it any good? was thinking about it but im not too great with the shooters on iPod. (Previous experiences with CoD Zombies and ModernCombat2.)
