Well, you paid $6.99 USD (or $9.99 USD or equivalent currency) for it. Not $59.99 USD (which is how much Dead Space 2 will cost you). Look at the price difference for both of those brand new games and realize you get what you pay for.

The Dead Space article is really awful, not merely from Brad's poor justification of his bad handling of the game, but as a coherent article as well. It's like some kid from Gamefaqs logged in on his computer.

I wouldn't say it's better than infinity blade (IB has much better lighting and better 3D moddels), but this isn't on rails, and for that it's really good.

    Edit: POST NO. 3000! :D

Adjustable sensitivity would be good. I haven't had any problems with the controls, but allowing users options is never a bad thing. Still, over all a great, great game from what I've experienced, and absolutely worth buying. No one should hesitate on making a purchase just due to the lack of adjustability.

    Blah Blah Blah !!!

Thought I'd throw my 2 pennies in since I haven't commented in a while.

    1. This game is pretty awesome, and I'm proud to see EA finally give us something that doesn't suck. Sorry EA fans, I think that besides Dead Space, all EA games for ios are buggy-poop-fests.

CONTROLS- obviously need a slider adjustment for swiping and a button for raising/lowering your gun. Other than that, they're pretty spot-on.

ATMOSPHERE- very scary, but the endless hallways get old. If there were some kind of intricacies to the puzzle-solving (if there even is any) between the fighting, it would be more interesting to explore. Instead, it is really a run here, run there, unlock this and that. Reminds me of a random PC shooter from 2002. Honestly, as brilliant as it already is, it could just be a bit more clever.

But whose really complaining? I'm not. This is one of the best games for ios and definitely in my top 5.

    2. If this is what they're pouring out now, and it's not even pushing the hardware near its limits. Imagine what the iphone5 and its dual-processor/dual GPU will be capable of. By the end of the year, we will look at 'Dead Space' and wonder why we thought these graphics were even good.

It's obvious you've never played Dead Space before. Try playing the one on consoles or PC and you'll understand. And you couldn't tell by the tons of videos what to expect? The iPhone version is superb as far as I've played. I'm not having any difficulty with the controls either. Easily the best game I've played on an idevice.

Ditto. I am horrible with virtual controls, especially on the larger iPad. But I am having an easy time controlling Vandal in Dead Space. I even restarted on Normal since Easy was too easy, as the controls were no longer the issue for me. I think more games should do away with UI buttons and just go with the way this game does it, though a sensitivity slider would be good too. After trying this, I went back to some other virtual d-pad games to see if they had similar control options in the settings and that has helped me with those games at least.

I would have easily paid $15 or more for this iOS game. I paid a lot more for less on other portable electronic devices.

this is a great game. the enviroments look alike, as you are on a space station and it is graphically intense. i think this game is miles ahead of infinity blade in fun and graphics. game looks great and plays great too. i wish i could change the sensitivity as well but not too big a deal. it is worth the 7$ no matter which way you look at it.

This comment is really useless. Have you played Dead Space 1 at all? How many enemy varieties did you see there, huh? Next time try to know about something before laying down a worthless comment on it.

All the necromorphs are actually former human beings, both those on the Ishimura and at the mining colony, and they are all just infected men, women and babies.

So how many varieties of monsters do you expect from human beings?

How many varieties of zombies do you have in COD: Zombies and how many varieties of pigs do you have in angry birds?

Next time think before you speak, for real.

If you want to lower your gun, swipe ''up'' on the left section (movement section) of the screen and he puts his gun down without moving an inch. We do not need a button for that. The way it is now is perfect.

I really love how you hallucinate and the environment changes, I just played the part where you (SPOILER!).... are walking through the mine to activate a panel and you see a reflection of yourself, but when you get up close it turns into necromorph and attacks you..... That part really took me by surprise.

Does this game work on 2nd Gen iPods by chance? Friend is a huge DS fan (read the book and everything) and wants this on his iPod but only has a second gen. Just thought I would ask.
