Starting at 1 a.m. in bed, dark as hell, Dr. Dre Beats Studio Pros headphones, all nighter. Oh, and I'm terrified of anything even remotely scary..it has always been a weakness of mine, sadly. It's gonna be a fun night.

Why make the US wait until 11pm? I wonder how long this game is. I can't wait, this tonight and tomorrow DS2.

Your in for a treat :)

This is the first iOS game I've played that feels like it could be a console game. It just feels complete to me.

Damn, that's pretty promising. Honestly, I wasn't terribly excited for this game until this weekend. Now, hell yeah I want it! Hahah.

    Behind you!
great responses, but I'll ask again, how does the scariness compare to games like Prisoner 84 and Resident Evil 4 (on the iphone)? I'm trying to figure out how scary it is by comparing it to games I've tried.

Graphics are exactly the same on both devices. The 4th gens will just have fewer jaggy edges on objects due to high pixel density.,

Have you compared it side by side? I heard the one on iPhone 4 has better lighting and stuffs. If they're indeed the same then it's a shame since EA could've pushed the game further a la Infinity Blade but decided to cater down to older devices for compatibility reason.

I'm just glad it doesn't look the same on iPhone 2G.

I've played both RE games, and they dont have anything on this. Sure, you had a few jumping moments, but Dead Space has the whole creepy atmosphere down. From the lighting, to the way the sounds get under your skin in the best possible way.

Even if your not a fan of the series, or haven't played the other games, like me, I'd say it's a must have.

Thats cause they actually brought on some good writing / comic people for the development of this series and then made the developers and writers all sit down and analyze what is creepy and makes you jump in movies. They had a pretty good and large list of what they watched.

Not everyone is gonna get scared or jump but the imagery and conveyance of the story is about as top notch as you can get from production values in a game series. I remember re playing the first one over so I could translate the Unitology writing that was in the comics and soaked in blood on the walls to get more of the back story. It was just very well put together.

Everything from the animations to the books / comics all tie in perfectly to the game.

Both devices have exactly the same graphics chip. Except the iPhone 4 is running the game at 4X the pixels. The higher clocked CPU helps out a bit there, and the extra RAM helps out a whole lot, making thee devices roughly equal. Without either, the 3GS would be running game a lot better than an iPhone 4. EA can't really push anything on the iPhone 4 that they can't on a 3GS. Infinity Blade is the same on both devices as well, besides better textures on the iPhone 4 only (not iPad or iPod 4G due to lack of RAM).

If you bought an iPhone 4 expecting a noticeable graphics improvement over a 3GS, you bought the wrong device. Apple upgrades internal hardware extensively on odd-number generations and adds features on even-numbered generations. The iPhone 4 is just a higher clocked 3GS. Nothing else. And the extra power the Retina Display requires cancels that out. If you wanted better graphics you should have waited for the iPhone 5.

What does one have to do with the other? They are all completely different experiences.

They are completely different games but Rage did not get a higher score on IGN. Also IGN seems fairly harsh on some iPhone games. You act like 8.5 isn't a good score though.
