So I guess this wont even get a single update? The devs mentioned it over a month ago and then never appeared again... well what can ya do?
Dungeon Raid had many updates and got better and better, and on top of that, resulted in a great game. What will Darkin be...?
The game was released a little over two months ago. I would give the dev some more time before you could say it's been abandoned. Your right this is still an awesome game even without updates, but it would be nice to get them.
Yeah me neither, the game never got an update and has been abandoned but its still a delightful little gem.
Gone from US store as well. Speculating, but would guess that the app is abandoned, Ten Foiled Hats' iOS developer license expired, they didn't renew, and so the app is just gone. There has been zero activity on their Facebook page since May 2014 when the game launched, zero updates to the game, and the only evidence the developers were alive was the drop in price back in November that may well have been a way of drumming up some extra sales before the game went away.
This game was abandoned a long time ago so I'm not surprised its gone. A shame really, I guess the devs didn't make enough money on this. It was pretty underexposed. If you like awesome match 3 action then Hero Emblems will fill all your needs.
Hero Emblems is a good standard match-3 but is a very different game than this. Darkin was supposed to be the second coming of Dungeon Raid and then... I don't know. Had a lot of buzz from the gaming sites, so either the public wasn't biting (heh) or the developers set their expectations too high. I'm all for developers watching their pocket books and cutting the line when a project is a lost cause but to instantly abandon a project they'd gotten so much free press over seems ill thought out.
In all seriousness (I was vibe-ing off the Hero Emblems comments made in this thread), I played a lot of Darkin when it came out. I felt it was the begging of the second coming of Dungeon Raid, though it needed room to grow. I just wish there had been a post mortem or something explaining why all development ended.
