$20. It hasn't been $40 on PC since it came out 7 years ago. It's been $20 (and sometimes $5) for about 5 years now.
I've played both games and I prefer Bioshock personally. But like someone else mentioned, they are very different games. Besides, you do realise that people are allowed to disagree on what games they prefer, don't you? It's called having an opinion. Happy to teach you that.
I'm a huge fan of the Bioshock games (Ken Levine is an amazing games developer & writer).......but I have a 16gb iPad mini. Guess I'll have to wait for the isometric pixel-art version...
Sanuku, on what device were you playing? Please let it be an iphone5 or something because graphics wise it looks kinda not so impressive Just hope the video was not recorded on an ipad air....
It runs in iPad 2 resolution (1024x768) on both iPad Air and Mini 2. Still some hiccups and framedrops but playable.
He usually uses the most recent devices. It's a 7 year old game with significant compromises made to get it to run on mobile so maybe your expectations are a bit high. If you watch any if the hands in videos from a few weeks ago (here, IGN) you'll see that the performance on theirs (running on iPad Airs) is pretty much in par with Sanuku's. EDIT: Just re-watched and you can plainly tell by the aspect ratio that this was captured from an iphone. If it's a 5S then it will actually be more likely to have better performance than an Air due to lower pixel count.
The current Gameplay Footage was recorded with an iPhone 5s Device. The iPhone 5 might have a bit less FPS but otherwise I didn`t saw anything in the first two hours that would let me believe that the Game might actually look different on the iPhone 5/5s. A Compare Video between the iPhone 5s/iPad Air is currently being rendered as I speak.

I don't remember anyone "proclaiming" that. Anyone who actually read anything about this has known it was coming out at the end of August for weeks now. It was common knowledge soon after the original announcement.
Or the $50 guns in Frontline Commando 2. This looks like quality stuff and we should all be happy and psyched....not complaining because you want something for free. Good things cost money.
The comparison is a bit silly. I don't play many console games but I remember being blown away when I first played Bioshock on XBOX 360. I'm not really into playing these kind of games on a touch screen, but if I can jailbreak and download controllers for all then I may be tempted to revisit Rapture.
