It's very much a FPS. And a twitchy one at that. You are shooting stuff coming from all directions 90% of the time.
I have an iPad 3 and XCom plays well but crashes sometimes, and runs much better if you disable voices in the options menu. My bet is that BioShock might run on an iPad 3, but it will constantly crash due to memory issues.
The original is already an uninspired and not very interesting game. And this, as a shooter on touch devices, will probably be much worse, I guess? Oh well...

I just bought my iPad Mini a little while ago. Hopefully it runs on it. I finished it on Xbox 360 recently too (few months ago). Before that I never played it before. I was behind the times. It is a good game. Hopefully the controls are good. I'll definitely get it after I clear space and make sure it's even compatible. I work until 10, then it'll be out soon after I'm back. lol
Yeah because that's a lot for a full fledged/not dumbed down awesome console game....sigh! I bet you wanted it to be freemium like 70% of all the app store games... Serious dude, i'm hitting the buy button tonight without hesitating!!
I advice people to wait before buying this. Can be issues on some plateform etc. Be patient is the word.
Have exactly 15$ on my U.S iTunes account. This is gonna be the purchase for tonight. Sadly i am on iPad 4, hope i am not compromised much on graphics, if not much difference this will be awesome. INSTABUY.
Oh for crying out loud! I've been looking forward to this and now I find I can't play it on either machine. What a pain in the arse! Aaaarrrrgggghhhh!
