Hey guys I don't know if you've seen it already but the AppSpy people put out a review of Bioshock on their Youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPajHLqY03w 3/5
Yeah that's all I give the game. Mainly because the controls are awful and they affect the gameplay for me. But it is still Bioshock, in your hands!
About iphone 5,5s pixelated problems I am sure that there is a bug in the game and a update is coming soon to solve it. Bioshock is the best shooter of all time and we are very lucky ios users to play this masterpiece!
If you are owned like me of an iPhone 5-5s,and you want fixed that grainy pixelated look, post you're problem, with device info,OS,the problem at 2K support, more users report to them this bug, more chance we have for a fix.. http://support.2k.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Done Firts I thought that the graphics on 5s was normal, but then comparing with less powerfull ipad 3, its strange, it must be: 1- a bug 2- planned obsolescence. If you want th best graphics just buy an iPhone 6
Yeah to be honest this really is a sub-par port of a truely amazing game. After seeing whats really possible with unreal engine on iOS with Infinity Blade 3 this game is a total let down. Its poorly optimized, uses way too much battery(honestly I should be able to pull out more than 1 hour of gameplay with a 50% percent drain). The aliasing is ridiculous, its obviously not running at native res on the 5s. Call it impressive if you want guys but this is an awful represenstation of what this platform is capable of. Sub-native res, control issues, and poor optimization make this the worst way to experience this game. Avoid if you can guys. If you're on a 5s you're better off puttinh you're money into the PC or even the console version I guess since you'll inevitably be tethered to the wall unless you have an external battery pack
Infinity blade is on-rail. Infinity blade is almost like a 2D game and has no world to explore while moving back and forth like Bioshock. Honestly I am tired of this nonsensical and myopic act of pulling up infinity blade as the staple of iOS graphics when the game has virtual nothing going on in it, gameplay wise, except swipe, swipe and more swipe. That said, this game is just incredible. I am almost at the end and have come to realise while people call this game one of the greatest shooters ever made. Funny thing is that I tried to play this game back then on console but couldn't because it wasn't military and fast paced enough for me but playing it now on my iPad Mini Retina, it feels so much more intimate that I found myself totally lost in it's world. The conversations are world class and so mature and while it could do with a little more graphics bump on the A7 devices if possible, it still looks gorgeous on my iPad. And mehn, the environment with all those neon lights is breath taking. Sometimes I just stand still staring at the environment. Oh and there is nothing like hearing a whale screeching in the background far away or hearing an unseen splicer singing "Jesus loves me, this I know...." or crying to his imaginary father while approaching a room. This game is simply incredible. I just hope that 2K would now consider bringing any of the Borderlands games to iOS seeing how well this game plays, bar few control problems sometimes. This is real gaming.
This is entirely and completely misleading; Infinity Blade (in particular the third entry in the series) is a rather sophisticated, on higher playthroughs *extremely* challenging, and very skill-reliant melee simulator. However, in all other ways I agree. The IB series, due to its railed nature, cannot be used as a graphical benchmark for a game with any amount of free-roaming. And Bioshock is an amazing iOS product, from atmosphere and narrative to combat mechanics, a boon for the platform, and hopefully one of the games which will lend the most weight to iOS as a gaming phenomenon (and hopefully encourage other desktop developers to port heavyweight titles or develop original premium franchises, as per this speculative post on my part.
tbh Ib is overrated it's basically a little too simple for it's own good,Ib2 I thought was a decent game but even that got repititive after 2-3 hours. They could have actually made it into something special but there were too many reused animations which made the game boring.Graphically only the first one could be called impressive both 2 and 3 were very minor updates compared to it 2 added dynamic shadows and 3 added aliasing and higher resolution shadows rest was prett much the same baked lightning and poor texture work in a 'very' limited environment, nothing close to impressive. As far as the port is considered I think it's been a bit lazy but it has the potential to be great if they: 1.Increase resoultion on 5s. 2.Better texture atleast med quality preset on pc setting, for 1gb ddr3 ram devices should be piece of cake. 3.Fxaa antialiasing which barely costs ant fps and relieves the game from jaggies in a very cheap and effective manner. 4.Customizable controls along with size and sensitivity options.(although the default controls for aiming and shooting are superb best I've seen in an touchscreen fps). 5.Better lightning.(particle effects are pretty good though.) Also did anyone experience crashes mostly when you pause the game???it's quite annoying. Still can't believe how incredible this game is though even after such downgrade,Masterpiece.
I have a bad feeling about this ._. All 2k games were released in our country in the same time as in US,russia etc...this can only mean that bioshock won't be released here at all...I already wrote about this to 2k support saying that it was already stated that it will be released worldwide but it is not even out here yet...
Skill is relative and even on higher difficulties of Infinity Blade, you are still standing at a spot, swiping and tapping coupled with immersion breaking and unnecessary cut scenes in between. That sort of gameplay and runners where you are swiping to switch lanes, to me, are the cheesiest and most ridiculous types in gaming. So from a strictly gameplay perspective, infinity blade has nothing going for it. I get this triumphant feeling watching a big daddy lay dead on the floor knowing that I went through a daunting task of alternating between strafing, switching plasmids and weapons and engaging split seconds reaction times to get it to lay there dead. That to me is a much more interesting and challenging gameplay mechanics than swiping and tapping while standing at a spot.
GOSH WE GET IT .. no release in aserbaidschan or aserbaidjschan or whatever.. so u wrote to the support.. so what should TA do now ?? nobody cares.. some TA users already told you to create an us account .. so DO IT !!!
For a moment I thought I was in the wrong tab with people talking about IB and some other off-topic nonsense.
You didn't get into details and merely said that you didn't understand why the game looks worse on your iPhone 5S than on an iPad 3.
Well, it's not untrue. More pixels on a screen do significantly minimize the appearance of aliasing. Do you also notice a significant downgrade in lighting effect between devices? Like when you first enter Rapture with the light shining through the water and off of the neon signs?
I explained and went into detail then, but it does not fit the picture So if you want a solution, just use the contact service and explain the bug, they answer very quickly http://support.2k.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

I really don't think it's a bug, just how the game was ported. If it's better on the iPad, just play on the iPad. At least you have the option. With the lighting, I'm just trying to determine if it's just a non-64 bit thing since I have an Air with effects and an iphone 5 without. Was wondering if your 5S has them.
