Ha. The one piece of info worth sharing is bear in mind its touchscreen now. Those who have played it on other platforms will find the controls a tad fiddly. The adjustment period is not long so will get used to them relatively quickly but obviously enough one will find them very different to before and there will be moments where one will hanker for a controller. Those with controllers will be very happy indeed. Personally I'm very used to touchscreen at this stage so I'm happy with the touch controls and find them up to the job at hand. Other than that, there's not really much to say. It was a classic in its time. It's still a classic. While there's some occasions where "instabuy" and "must have" apply, in this case it is an absolute no brainer, this is the very definition of must have instabuy.
What you want to know about it? Filesize? It`s probably one of the bigger Appz on the iTunes Store so far: You can pause the downloads on the iTunes Store so you could split it up over a couple of days.
Well, with the amount of teasing 2K has been doing for this over the past week or so, I suppose this wasn't surprising As someone who's never played Bioshock before, should I wait until I eventually upgrade my hardware and get this, or wait until my Steam wallet is topped up and this is on sale?
Well I just bought it on Steam for ya, you can have it and play it as it originally came and then decide if you want to double dip eventually. It runs on surprisingly low specs so you should be fine.
Nah, I'll pass on this one because I hadn't finished the XBOX 360 version yet and because my iPad isn't compatible. BTW: If you hadn't played Bioshock before, go ahead, it's amazing
@Sanuku it was just a joke, but I won't spoil its meaning Too bad my device isn't supported. That said, I've played this on my PC and it's for sure a really good FPS.
No it's not pricey. I mean to say I'm not actually sure how it would run on iPhone 5. Since in this game's case 5 is the lower end device. So I'm thinking a medium experience.
Will anyone recommend this game to someone who don't like fps too much? I've read reviews for this game, but still not that interested... XD
Can anyone TOFTT regarding the unsupported devices and if they just run poorly or if they won't launch at all? I have an iPad 3 and iPhone 5 (which is supported but it has a cracked screen and I rather enjoy these types of games on the bigger screen). Performance impressions is most vital for this game.
I grabbed the PS3 version from PSN for $5 or less during a sale... So it doesn't bother me much that the 4s is not supported even on ios6 where a little more memory is available. Plus I got the entire Bioshock series and a ton of other 2K games (all of the xcoms were part of it) for $20 from humble bundle. So plenty of other good options for playing the series.
I wouldn't really put this game under FPS genre. There are a lot of RPG elements in how you can upgrade your characters abilities, mix and match different weapons (or magic mumbo jumbo stuff), different tactics needed for different enemies etc. So it's not like a Doom/corridor shooter thing. It's more akin to Deus Ex.
