Because even tough there are bilions of mobile users, few of them spend more than a couple of dolars on a game. I see developers that on twitter all the time. Unfortunately this is the market where most of people refuse to pay 15 dolars on one of the best games ever, but spend 15 dolar with IAPs in a freemium crappy game.
My only hope out of this is that, 2K looks at it and sasy "Hey this is selling well, lets move Borderland 1 over to IOS."
how is the performance ? Can you give some feeback please. I want to buy but don't spend 30 TL for nothing Thanks in advance.
Luckily, this has proven to not always be the case with premium-priced desktop ports for iOS, as the idea of the iOS market being only viable for freemium games has been debunked on several occasions (from the massive success of original franchises like the IB series, to desktop ports seeing a revival on mobile platforms). Square has reported large sale numbers for their premium priced apps (often 14-20 dollars), and XCOM has likewise sold very well at 15+ dollars. Precisely the kind of deduction I am hoping for!
I can't quite recall how much space I needed for the installation process (somewhere a bit above 3 gigs, dimly recounted), but the game itself occupies 2.6 gigs on my iPhone 5S.
Just saw the touch gameplay comaprison video and ipad air blows 5s out of water, wasn't expecting this.If thing I thought 5s should look slightly better than air having smaller screen and stuff. The framerate was pretty much the same too so that's quite confusing. Also how are some people running it on ios 7.0.4 when it requires 7.1?
Closer to 4, I think. 1.5 for the compressed file and 2.6 for the installed. As for sales, I'm not going to open the AppStore on my phone, #11 paid iPad game. Top 15 paid in all apps. 66 top grossing. If it maintained at that level of sales just on the iPad, I presume, it would be a financially successful port. That's not counting the much larger iPhone/iPod market. I'm enjoying it for what it is. As for comparing the textures and resolution to GL games or MadFingers offerings, I wouldn't think its a valid comparison. As far as I recall there are no areas in other fps' on iOS that have comparable sized environments. Considering that I can understand why this games graphics are a little toned down. Dues Ex was my favourite FPS on iOS. It's been bumped from that spot.
Sorry man,no spoiler, only PM if someone need help or in stuck..well,I try with my Moga, but after one hour I only use touch controls(but work great with controller)I want to play for the first time ever on touch,as it's mean to be by the devs.. I've already play too many time with dualshock 3..yeah,of the 3 BIOSHOCK,this it's the best, the story it's a lot way better than BIOSHOCK 2,INFINITE,well,it's not Rapture,it's columbia, but there 2 dlc where you return to Rapture..
It's the best version I have,I don't talk about the game itself on PC,cause I like to play on PS3,but for gadget, the heavy statue of Big Daddy it's damn cool, instead if we talk about content, the PS3 Ultimate Rapure Edition have both BIOSHOCK 1 and 2,and all the dlc,it worth for 19..
My device is running ios 7.0.4 and I'm not planning to update to 7.1 but directly to 8 when that releases,I'm waiting to purchase the game but I don't want it if I can't play it.Can someone explain how can you run it on 7.0.4 when it requires 7.1?
Don't spread misinformation please. They both do 1080p, just not with all games [at and after launch] and both systems have been struggling developer-wise to obtain that consistently. The PS4 has reached the 1080p @ 60FPS with a couple more games, but the Xbox One does have quite a few games that reach it and the 1080p @ 30FPS mark. The problem is that both systems seem to have parred done games that run at 900p to reach a consistent frame rate. Also, the June SDK for Xbox One developers have given developers the libraries they've needed to much more easily obtain the consistent 1080p@60FPS coveted resolution/frame rate hurdle. The only controversial game I recall running @900p @ 60FPS on Xbox One was Call of Duty: Ghosts [which was actual 1080p on PS4] and pixel doubled to reach an artificial 1080p resolution fiasco. There's even a list comparison out on the web about such trite arguments. There have been a few games after that are 900p on both systems, some that are 1080p @60FPS on PS4 and 1080p@30FPS on Xbox One. Everything else has been a **** measuring contest inflated by fans. The Xbox One may not be as powerful but it is not a gimped system as you imply...
Compressed:1.65GB,Uncompressed it's 2.6GB,so, 1.65+2.6= 4.25GB,plus some more space for be sure it will install without any problem,I say 4.5GB and you're safe.. EDITnly if you download via App Store,if you use iTunes you need only 2.65GB..
Yeah its been a struggle for the one at times. Microsoft has been sending out some team members to help some of the devs out to achieve the 1080p though. They've been able to par with Sony lately, things do seem to be getting a bit better. At least they're prioritizing the fps over the resolution, haven't played a muliplat game that ran on a lower fps on one console vs the other.
Anyone able to get Game Center achievements to work? Not the in game ones but like Game Center achievements? I cant and it doesnt even show up if I open Game Center.
