I've got 6 different versions of BIOSHOCK,xbox360,PC ,4 PS3 versions(standard-special edition-limited edition and the ultimate rapture edition with all the dlc) but, like you,it's time to visit rapture again for the 7 time
must....not....endulge...."tap". Too late. Downloading as I type this. Biggest thing to hit the app store...ever. And I had totally convinced myself I wouldn't pay $15 for game I beat at least three times. The damn gamer in me got the better of me!
Nothing bro Make sure when you visit a gathered garden to choose slowly,The slot Are important, but what change The Gameplay Are The tonics, later on in The GAME there're tonics that, combined together make you kill a big daddy with only The wrench without take any damage
.........Bioshock on PS3 was a PORT! It was out on PC and Xbox360 a year before PS3 got it, because........unreal engine doesn't play nice on the PS3. I believe the ios version is a port of the Xbox 360 version
Also on PS3 ,was The only DLC just inside The blu-ray. When was launched on PS3, The plasmids pack, and i hope for New Game plus that was added to DLC challenge rooms packs..
Sure the graphics arent outstanding or anything but its the atmosphere that is so amazing. Its really immersive, I just wish we could move the controls around a bit but other than that I have enjoyed my 30 minutes with it so far.
After playing the sequel, not sure I could go back to this. I may be mistaken, but the original doesn't have dual wielding, right?
I'm not disrespecting anyone I'm just pointing out how people have highly variable expectations from a game. They don't mind if an old ps2 port lags but suddenly if a ps3 game(demanding one at that)lags then it's an atrocity. It trully is very hard to form an informed opinion out of these posts,The last thing I want is to miss out on a great game,In short double standards. I also find it hard to beleive that every single person criticising bioshock hate Dq8 infact I can point out a few names right now,I'm just wondering as to why there is this kind of bias,Sort of the same thing happened to tlou when that was released on ps4 just with an upgraded res and got all sort of praise and what not but when metro games were totally resone with a fully revamped graphics engine and art pipeline it was deemed a greedy move by them.
Ugh. I pretty much knew what to expect when I hit the buy button, but I still can't help but be disappointed. The graphics in this port are not a small step down from the original. They are an awkwardly-landed tumble down an entire flight of stairs in terms of graphical fidelity. There is also one control issue that seems to be inherent with almost all FPS' on iPhone, and I don't know why it is so seldom mentioned, as I find it so jarring. And that issue is whenever one goes to move the camera, the frame rate suddenly drops to about 10 fps, and the game is suddenly a cumbersome chop-fest. Why can't the camera movement (and therefore, aiming) ever be smooth? I'm using an iPhone 5S 64 gb and an iPad Air 4G/Wi-fi 128gb with lots of space left, plenty of memory, all other apps closed, restart after install...optimal conditions to run the game. Then you go to look to your right and CHOP! CLUNK! CHOP! Ahhh there we go, facing right now. This seems to happen in all big-name FPS', and I can't wait for one that nails this. I really think it'd take a lot of merit away from the "well, it's an iPhone FPS, don't expect much ¯\(ツ)/¯ " discussion, and show that it can be done half-competently. /rant On another note, great to see a triple-A title being ported to mobile. Here's to hoping this opens the proverbial floodgate, and soon we'll all be playing console-quality titles on our mobiles.
Yeah I know I'm just pointing out the fact that it's a game released on a last gen console which required 360/ps3.I want truthful and some unbiased opinions unlike the dq8 thread where a stuttering 10fps was somehow 'flawless',If the game has problems then they should be mentioned.
Yes. Hence why I gave the possible/probable reason for your situation. I would have assumed someone of your experience would have enough knowledge and understand to know that it was a bug rather than blankly stating that it has no retina. I was merely clarifying in case people assumed from your post that it didn't have it or it wasn't supported by outlining that it's simply not possible for it not to have it and still be approved. I would imagine that people would be glad to know it's just a bug that will be fixed rather than something that wasn't built in in the first place.
Your whole point about people having supposedly contradictory views of different games is only valid if it is the same people expressing those views about the different games, which you haven't shown at all. It seems like you're just lumping all TA posters together in your head, and then when you see different sets of people with different points of view you're seeing it as a contradiction. That said, I do think there are some reasons to be more concerned about Bioshock's graphical fidelity than Dragon Quest's. I think the graphics are a much bigger part of Bioshock's appeal than Dragon Quest's, so if the graphics quality is a big downgrade from Console/PC then it would lose some of its appeal. Sure the story and gameplay would still be there, but it would lose some of its immersive feel.
It's not contradictory neither am I insulting anyone I just find it very hard to take anything seriously when things have such double standards.Ofcourse not all posters are like this and some are actually helpful but they are either put to sleep by people who themselves can't stand indifferent opinions by either being told how grateful they are to be able to even play a mighty old ps2 game on their latest 6 month old devices for 20$ 4 times the amount on any other platform.I don't point anyone out but there are a lot of familiar names on this thread who were praising dQ8 and defending it for the same flaws they are bashing bioshock themselves. Framerate and graphics or res are universal facts which can't be subjected to personal opinions,One may or may not like the art style but denying what is a technically proven thing is misleading for those who want an honest opinion, the last thing I want is to be burned and again go through the hassle of getting a refund. Also what you said in the end is my problem with most posts here itself why should bioshock required to have outstanding graphics whereas it's alright if Dq8 can look worse than it's ps2 counterpart whilst having poor performance? Specially when it's sold for 6$ more than a last gen port.
can someone pls confirm if it's working on 7.0.4? im skipping 7.1 and prolly upgrade to ios8 directly, so im curious if the works with 7.0.4
Street Fighter Volt has been updated in December 2013 and it lacks iPhone 5 screen support and retina display.
