Playing on Ipad Air too..awesome game but only issue for me is pixels like i said above to one guy.too many pixels can be seen on objects
Have to admit I was struggling on my iPhone5 but now that I pdated my iPad mini it's soooo much better imo totally satisfied with this purchase
I bought the DVD back in the days, I bought a steam version again later because I was unable to add it to my games library and now I'm supposed to buy the same game for the 3rd time? well... who cares, it's BIOSHOCK let's visit the Rapture once again
This port makes me think 2K should've given this another year in the oven. It's just sloppy and on hardware that should be able to handle it at higher resolutions. XCOM was fine. It was a fun game. Bioshock relies on decent shooting and ATMOSPHERE. When your game looks like a low-rent PC title from 2000, YOU HAVE A SERIOUS PROBLEM.
Idk, I wasn't too sure at first, now I'm like two and a half hours into this and completely sucked into it. Really fun game..atmospheric. The graphics aren't top-notch on my 5S but I'm really satisfied with my purchase overall.
There is no retina, loading times are not negligible, the UI elements look a bit stretched and low-rez, and there are no options to customize controls... but the game plays wonderfully, the inflexible controls are very exact, and the atmosphere is so thick and immersive I might have been playing with my tongue stuck to a 24-inch screen. Even disregarding the fact that this is indeed a port of a once demanding desktop title, and the hyperbolic "ohmygawd I'm playing Bioshock on a phone" instinct*, I would probably still be honestly impressed with the first few minutes of gameplay alone. So, this is an instant classic, and probably one of the best shooters for iOS, not to mention the best action-adventure-role playing hybrid. * A reaction which has lost much of its impact after ports like XCOM, TWEWY, KoDP, WoTB, KOTOR, and MHFU, and high-quality original premium titles like the IB series, Spiral, Lone Wolf, Starbase Orion, Epoch 1/2, games from Foursaken, Playdek, Witching Hour, Touch Dimensions, Inkle, Rocketcat, etc, blah. These days, I expect my portable device to handle desktop-class entertainment with grace and ease.
It's BIOSHOCK on a mobile device. Calm down and be grateful they ported this over to iOS in the first place.
2k has just become my favorite mobile (and not) developer. they know how to create games. congratulations.
For sure Apple is going to show bioshock at iPhone 6 presentation with the new graphic's improvement! It seems strange that on iPhone 5s this game is so pixelated maybe 2k has downgraded graphics in order to gave possibility to Apple to show the perfect graphics on IPhone 6 )!
What's funny is how people are being critical of bioshock which is a port of ps3 game whereas dragon quest 8 which is worse in every category compared to it and is a ps2 game gets away with everything,It sure is hard to take anything here seriously anymore.
