I don't know... I've looked at videos of both the Android version and the PC version and it really doesn't look all that different. I guess it's just me and the fact that I don't like the way it looks in general. Meh.

  2. The android version looks way better than ios. It's not even close.

The graphics on ipad retinas is terrible.

I'd love to see them side by side.

  4. Your wish is my command, I will email you tomorrow. Also, I will send you some of that ipad retina info I had prepared for you.

Cool. You could also post the screens here in this thread for anyone else interested in seeing the comparison.

Have you compared the two? I'm wondering if you feel the same about it as Connector does, since you have both versions available to you.

Absolutely. Just tried the iOS version and it's a jagged, blurry mess. Android is crystal clear and downright beautiful in comparison. I'm playing the original THD version, which was exclusive to Tegra devices before they made it available to other Android devices. So can't speak directly to the non-Tegra version but if it's anything like the THD, it's night and day compared to iOS.

And whichever version you play, I also highly recommend the tilt controls over touch. It just almost seems more natural and easier to control the speed of the liquids using tilt.

  8. The Android version has multiple graphical settings which the ios version doesn't have either.

The Android version is night and day better looking.

    God damn it.

I knew it was worth waiting on this. I wanted to buy this game when it came out, but I couldn't justify blowing five bucks on an inferior version. Again, ports are so hit or miss. I tread very carefully with anything that arrives on iOS that hasn't been built for it from the ground up.

I look forward to those screen shots side by side.

This is a rare exception. Most of the time, games that are made for both systems are usually better on iOS. But then again this was originally exclusive to Android in the mobile market, which there are also very few.

Yeah, I just mean ports overall. There is usually a 'this was a square peg that has been shaved into a sort of octagon shape and then forced into a circular hole' type of feel with them. I'm just generalizing.

Generally I would agree, though there are some games like Puddle, Virtua Tennis, Minion's Rush Despicable Me, Raiden Legacy, and Rayman Jungle that just run so much better on my Note 3 vs my ipad 4. All of these games hands down I like much better on Android.

Yeah, this game looks like garbage. It's unacceptable. I'm going to delete it simply for the fact that there was no response from the dev in the original thread to address all the complaints. I still look forward to your side by side screens, Connector. So glad I didn't pay for this.

Wow.... I'm shocked at how bad this looks, almost unplayable I would say. The physics seem good so I'm going to persevere a bit further but I'm also finding the touch controls to be a bit bobbins.

It's very disappointing. The visuals are actually a distraction.

I had been eyeing this off for months, was nearly going to pay full price, so glad I didn't, it feels nothing like the game I used to know and love! It's a shame they can't update it.. would have been perfect on the touch screen..seems like they've just given up.
Was shocked when I woke up to an appzap alert notifying me it we to free.l usually companies do a 99c sale first, which was what I was waiting on.
But cool, glad I got it now, hopefully someday in the future they will get their act together and update it. Until then, it'll never get the iOS popularity it would deserve if they made some tweaks.

Imagine this game with the visual quality of BADLAND.

I've been enjoying this game quite a bit, simply due to the awesome gameplay and physics. You know how people say older games had more substance because devs didn't worry about graphics? Well, maybe the devs should have done a bit more with the graphics for this game, but I'm willing to look past that for this game; I think it's a lot more fun than other similar titles, such as Where's My Water or Sprinkle.

  20. Ok, SumoSplash, I emailed you and awp69 the side by side screenshots. You will see how much better it looks on Android, and it looks even worse on a bigger ipad retina than my screenshots due to the size difference. If anyone else wants to see them, just pm me.

Sad how good the Android version looks, and how poor the ios version looks, sloppy port.
