Too bad for no portrait option. This game is really good and it has plenty of game modes, and good thing for the "quick game" ability for replay value. And how cool is the "friend's quest" mode! Is there a difference between the blue and pink cards or is it just a visual thing? vectorarchitekt Well-Known Member Dec 29, 2013 2,489 177 63 #5 vectorarchitekt, Apr 29, 2016 How is this game not hitting the hot section? I got it as soon as I saw it simply because they made Card City Nights and Ittle Dew. This game is so awesome. I never played CCN. L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,404 418 83 #13 L.Lawliet, Apr 29, 2016 Last edited: Apr 29, 2016 OMG OMG OMG Insta bought. I hope it's just as good and even better. I also didn't really enjoy minesweeper, but they've made it so much fun that I find myself really thinking out and planning my next move. Making it vs with power ups was a brilliant idea. I played the regular minesweeper to make sure I wasn't just off my game but this is definitely way harder just because instead of numbers of mines nearby I have to just guess since they could be at any amount (even knowing how many are under each color rarely helps). Since I'm pretty average a Minesweeper I wish there was an easy mode that just told you how many skulls are nearby in numbers instead. I got defeated on every single tournament 5 in a row already. I can't say how many times I started the game with a card that alerted one skull nearby and the flip the next card and it's a skull. Also not knowing if your opponent pulled any fruit or stars screws me up since it makes it really confusing when guessing nearby cards since the indicators become near useless. I guess it just feels too random for me. I grab a fruit and the next card next to the fruit often is a mine. hoodwinkedfool Well-Known Member Mar 27, 2011 80 0 6 #16 hoodwinkedfool, Apr 29, 2016 Don't flip the card next to the one that says there is a skull next to it? # Talbs Well-Known Member May 1, 2011 2,612 375 83 #17 Talbs, Apr 29, 2016 Last edited: Apr 29, 2016 It's incredibly luck based. Haven't won a single match yet, even when I think I get all the mechanics. The + and the skull Indicators give you an idea of what's in the area, I get that, then you use stars to use special abilities, like revealing your opponents last card, I get that. But damn...boom up comes a skull. Boom up comes another skull first turn, new round again, boom another skull. Yes that happened. Not sure about this one. Great polish though, and I didn't realise this was the card city night devs. I quite liked CCN, and this one has a very similar tone, just a wayyyy different game, with maybe too much luck for me. Interested in seeing if others "master it" though. It's not bad game design if you are just playing it wrong. BillyOceansBlues Well-Known Member Mar 1, 2013 188 7 18 #20 BillyOceansBlues, Apr 29, 2016 There are no possible moves available to you with the cards you have, so you put anything down in the hopes of getting a usable card next turn. And if you do (huge if), there are almost never any places to put it because the card only works in one direction. It's bad design. I got the logic of the gameplay, but there were far too few opportunities to be smart about card placement. Too many dead ends. Bad game. Sorry. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
