there are both $300..which one will u be picking up this fall???i personally already have and xbox 360(i paid full price for elite)that i got last Christmas.
I had a PS3 previously but got bored with it and ended up selling it My Blu-Ray player just broke so figured I might as well buy a PS3 instead of buying a new Blu-Ray because the cost isn't that much more
i have both so i really cant complain. but really, the only reason i still keep my 360 is because most of my friends play it my 360 is an old 2006 model, and its still going, but im hearing some odd noises now... but i would recommend the ps3 slim to anyone because the exclusives are really good. I mean halo and gears are ok, but the fact that there's a whole bunch of 13 year old nerds who think its funny to fart into the mic kinda ruins the games.
I should hve read the OP, I thought this would ba a 'what should I buy' so I picked the 360... I'll be picking up a PS3 however since I've already got a 360.
I'm not getting either but my 80gb Christmas '08 model hasn't died after a good 4-5 months of the darn thing on, and so yay! We have gone through 3 360's and I'm sure our next one is gonna be RROD'd in the upcoming months... So boo!
I got my xbox the night it came out at midnight.. Although it has RROD'd 4 times, I still prefer it over the PS3. Just a lot better games, a lot better system.
Hands down ps3 slim ps3 slim - slimmer,blu-ray,free wi-fi,free store (playsation network)have games like Infamous and Metal Gear solid,Killzone 2 xbox 360 elite - gotta pay to get online (2 month card and stuff)sucks (lol my opions)but okay because i used to own one but the (The Deat Red Light something)screw everything up i bought like 30 games for it (im talking about $60)im selling them now
PS3 slim right now gives you more for your money, but in terms of games, I'll go with the 360 any day, specially considering how fabulous the line-up of exclusive games for the console look in 2010.
Possibly the Slim, but i think my current PS3 will do, as long as it doesn't explode. I already have an Elite
For me (I have both) - I use the PS3 98% of the time - I do blu-ray movies, and I am not into the Xbox live scene... Games wise - they both have advantages / disadvantages - a lot of the good games will be on both platforms - as to which of those is better - personal preference depending on what is important to you... Exclusive games - again depends on what is important - Sony does not have an X-box live - Home is an attempt - I guess - but I don't like those regardless. If multiplayer is very important - all the social stuff, etc. Xbox is still probably better - but you pay for it... Home is included with PS3, and it is possible it will rival X-box in the near future. For high def movies - unless you own a dedicated Bluray player - choice is only 1 - PS3... You can still get HD movies, but it is like buying cassette tapes, or 8 track - dead, and will be forgotten / obsolete / unsupported. I think future favors Sony at this point, but these are battles fought over years, and typically over numerous consoles, not just 1...
I chose "I already have both" but by that I mean that I already have the fat 120G PS3 and the Xbox Arcade with a 120G HDD lol
def the ps3 had two xboxs, one rrod 3 times....the next one got e74 4 times and they finally tell me i have to get a new vid chip for $100 so f that
Does it really take a genius to figure out I meant my PS3? I hate the Xbox 360, they are a giant waste of money. Remember, I am talking from experience!
