Brian, I don't think you'll be disappointed. The game subtly tugs on your heart strings through, the soundtrack, the isolation, and the near futility of the characthers quest. I can't really do it justice here, it really has to be played. Spiffy's mention of SOTC had me scrambling to find my copy and throw it in the PS2 Not only is it an emotionally epic adventure, but the action is equally intense. It's so visceral... anyway let me know what you think.
Funny you should mention that as the "drained" feeling is very common in the game. Every time a colossus is beaten I can't help but feel I really went through a battle. I'm literally worn out after some of them like the two flying colossi. The whole "hero's journey" theme is just executed perfectly.
i doubt they would. it took 2 years for them to fianlly lower the price, and right now it currently costs more to manufacture it, so probally wont be gettin a price cut anytime soon.
arkham asylum should be awesome. the guys at rocksteady really know their stuff. i have a lot of respect for them. awesome dev team.
I can comfirm the game is awesome. I've been playing for a couple hours and I'm delighted with it. Like many reviewers said: The pacing is fantastic. It is a great mix of stealth and combat, and the level design is phenomenal. I just had my first rendezvous with Scarecrow, and that was a nice change in pace. Instead of the normal gameplay, it set a fixed camera with a giant dreamy scarecrow spinning in a circle like a spotlight searching for you while you snuck around him so you could take him out. Can't explain that part really, you really have to play it, but it's not what you were used to doing for the first two hours or so of gameplay and I'm really glad they threw that curveball. Anyway really great game definately worth the 47 bucks with free next day shipping I got it for on Amazon.
i never have any problems with MS customer service, you must act like an ass to them so they do the same. Also, I've had my xbox360 since late '07 and i havent had any problems with it. I've dropped it like 5 times WITH a disk in the drive and NOTHING was harmed. My brother also put it upside down and turned it on and I STILL haven't even gotten the Fake RROD. You're life must suck lol. Back on topic, I've already been saving up for this, My cousin owns a fat 80 gb PS3 and its so heavy, get scratched so easily, and collects more fingerprints than my iPod touch. I like the matte color of the xbox360 so this will be awesome for me, and its supposed to be quieter?! Looks like sony finally started givng more of a f*ck what their customers want and less of caring about the money. Maybe...
rocksteady developed a decent game called urban chaos couple of years ago for their first project. bunch of the guys who started up rocksteady came from another studio called argonaut that's no longer around. argonaut is probably remembered for developing starfox fx for nintendo back in the day for the snes.
Was that a problem? I thought it was cool because it made the darn thing quiet. Usually, when they cost reduce game consoles, the chipsets usually become smaller and more efficient (less power used, runs cooler), so they wind up not needing fans any more. Having said that, my PS3 runs pretty quietly. My Xbox 360 Elite (my second one), on the other hand, is a freaking Hoover on the noise meter. Yeah, it really was cool for its time. It's too bad Argonaut shut down. But wachu gonna do when you have bombs like Malice on the Xbox 1. Anyone remember that thing? Yuck.
same, my 360 is loud as hell, but thats only because i've had it since 2006. but my ps3 runs quiet. especially at the XMB. and after a few hours of gameplay its still cool
