Phantasy Star is my favourite series lol. Especially 2 and 4. Though I was a die-hard fan of Dreamcast's Phantasy Star Online (I, to this day, STILL play that from time to time on the GameCube/Wii). Never really got into Phantasy Star Universe though. I do like the Phantasy Star Portables though (for the PSP). Those were similar to the Universe series, but better imo (not as much running around, not as much excess nonsense). All they need to do is remake PSO. That = win. Same system and everything, just different levels. that would be spectacular lol.
yeah some of my friends got rod but i still bought one because its cheaper than the ps3 seems like the newer versions are better...
I hear you. I was devastated when I thought agro died. It's amazing how much character he had, without uttering a single line of dialogue. God I really love that game.
My friends in New Zealand made a nice PSN game called Shatter. Pretty good deal IMHO for the price they're charging. Def worth looking at if you have a PS3.

Let's all quieten down and play Burnout Paradise on our platforms of choice... then go watch a Blu-ray movie if we get bored in 1080p. Maybe if the PS3 owners feel nice they'll invite the XBOX-ers over. Seriously, though, it all depends on choice. Me, I'm not a Sony fanboy, but my frustration with Microsoft drove me to be an Apple fanboy. So I feel I have to support Sony, simply because they're opposing Microsoft. Oh, and the Wii is good too. One thing I'm annoyed with with the PS3 Slim is that the supposed price drop has no effect in New Zealand! We need to pay NZ$150 (US$100) extra just to get one that plays PAL movies! Not happy, Sony.
I fought on for a good 10 minutes trying to reach the sleeping lady with Wander in that last section. That connection, between player and character into player/character during gameplay, is, IMHO, the way storytelling in video games should be done. Not non-interactive cutscenes, but conveying emotion while playing. I was drained when the game ended. My thumbs were sore. I felt that I had lost something, just as the character onscreen undoubtedly felt. That's "epic", IMHO. That word is thrown about too often for games that aren't epic at all. SotC, and ICO, were, IMHO, two of the only legitimately epic games of that generation.
Haven't tried Shadow of the colossus, but hearing how highly regarded it is between Le'deuche and my man Spiffy, i'm going to gamestop this week to check it out, as for the other stuff? Well IMO Dreamcast was and still is the MOST ambitious console aside from the originators like the atari 2600 etc. Hardware alone was amazing, shipping with a built in modem! VMU memory cards were great (NFL 2k, couldn't see your friends pick on plays), and a microphone with voice chat. It's a shame it failed as I think it had a whole lot more potential then what it wound up with. Some of my fave's Skies of arcade, IMO one of the top 5 best RPG's made, Seaman! Jetgrind, Soul caliber, Crazy taxi, and POWERSTONE! Wii tried to be different this generation of consoles, but I think it was just short of the buck...

Natal looks sweet, but with a failure rate of over 50% I couldn't do it, Microsofts warranty just isn't long enough for a $200 machine... PS3 may be ugly but for the price a Bluray Drive is enough for me on the cost alone...
and their customer service sucks they were mean to me... and the arcade sucks lol. even IGN has an article with 10 reasons why the arcade version sucks.
The PS3 slim? Yep. Microsoft might be doing a price cut on the XB360 Elite too for $299. If you're gonna get the Xbox, I'd recommend getting an extended replacement warranty. Mine went bad and the warranty saved my arse...
