If you have a Xbox 360, you can play Fallout 3 on there too. I am currently playing the one on the PS3, and there is nothing wrong with it (Plus it's getting the DLC later this year). Just saying lol... I gotta admit, even though I am a proud 120G Fatass PS3 owner, this thing looks H-O-T. Cheap too for the fact that it's really light, and uses like 34% less power. I like it. Sony needs to put out shit like this if they hope to have any sales.
Looks cool, but you can get BluRay players for much cheaper now, and aren't there still only barely a handful of PS3 exclusive games worth playing? I'm not sure if a $300 BluRay player that also plays Little Big Planet is worth it yet unless Sony starts getting some solid exclusives. Final Fantasy was the only game I really cared about that I thought I would have to buy a PS3 for, and now that's coming to the 360 too.
I would get this but all if my friends have a 360 and I'd rather get that so I can play them. Still, this looks tight.
sony really have messed up the marketing of their ps3. its sales have been incredibly low compared with psone and ps2 and it doesnt take a genius to figure out why. this console is massively overpriced and to add insult to injury its been a good year into a worldwide recession and only now do they drop the price. by a fraction! i would love one of these but at that price it can stay on the shelf. to put it into perspective its nearly £100 ($164) more in the uk than in the us. screw you to sony! that and with increased competition from microsoft and nintendo i dont see this new model as its saviour. yes its blue ray, very nice, but i dont care!
MGS4 KZ2 Resistance 1 and 2 Motorstorm and Motorstorm: Pacific Rift LBP inFamous Uncharted 1 and 2 Ratchet and Clank Grand Turismo 5 Yakuza 3 Demon's Soul White Knight Chronicles the list goes on.... not to mention that they already have alot of exclusives down for 2010
The only games on that list I care about are Gran Turismo and Metal Gear, and that was before I found out that Metal Gear was nothing more than a slightly interactive movie.
I'll get one when God of War 3 or FF Versus XIII comes out, until then nothing worth buying the system for.(for me at least)
I honestly thought Sony was pranking us with the $250 price point at E3 with some kind of weird infomercial-style sales tactics. "And the PSP Go, originally $250..." "...But if you buy it TODAY it's only $150!" Except that second sentence never came.
Then you don't know enough about some of the games. Uncharted is probably the most fun I've ever had playing a story driven video game, and is just so friggen good. Uncharted 2 is better than the first(I was in the mulitplayer beta), and they're adding a lot of stealth stuff, which is really cool. And also nobody mentioned god of war 3 or heavy rain.
I've fooled around with the Uncharted games at a friend's house. The problem with games like Uncharted is they can be completed in the time you would have the game if you went out and rented it. A game with 6-8 hours of playtime doesn't exactly make me want to fork out $300 + $60 for the game.
Yeah... but it's a f*cking SWEET movie. I would definitely like to add KZ2 to my exclusives. KZ2 ****ing pwns. Uncharted was fantastic, but I don't know that I would have paid 60 for it off the bat (I got it included in my PS3's box). But with MP and same great story for Uncharted 2, I will gladly shell out 60 for it. But other than that, I will even admit that the exclusives for the PS3 blow, and I love my PS3.
My first playthrough of uncharted took me about 9 hours but I played it three times. Once on normal, once on hard, and once on brutal. The other playthroughs took about 9 hours also because of more deaths in combat. It's the kind of game that is fun to play more than once. The second one will just be better in general, with better and more varying gameplay, and also will probably be longer. Then add on the amazing multiplayer gameplay and you have a lot of replay value. The multiplayer isn't just your standard shooter; there is actually stealth and vertical elements involved which is what makes it so damn good. You can climb on ledges and pull people down from above, you can sneak up from behind people and snap their neck, and there is a chain gun. Nuff said. It is one of the best multiplayer components in a shooter I've ever played, and I only played it in beta. Also worth mentioning, you can actually save I think 10 of your multiplayer games and watch the replay from any angle you want, fast forward, rewind, etc. Btw uncharted just hit greatest hits so you can get it for 30 bucks, def worth it imo.
the only thing that the ps3 has that is even worth getting a ps3 over a 360 for is little big planet, mg sucked, kill zone 2 sucked, it just looked really nice. but uncharted 2 looks really good.my ps3 is never used it collects dust.but this new ps3 looks pretty cool, but i think Sony is just wasting money now, because this isn't gonna make a difference in anything.god of war and play station where the only PlayStation exclusives i ever cared for, but final fantasy is coming for the 360. and i can live with playing god of war 3 on the normal huge ps3 plus the problem with ps3 is they dont have a good 1st person shooter, killzone was over hyped and a letdown. and they wont ever get a fps that holds up against halo, and no fps will ever hold up against gears of war
