It's out of stock. Price: $39.99 Trade In This Video Game Item for $111.50. $71+ profit isn't too shabby, if I do say so myself.
I'm kinda wondering the same thing, but since it's months old, I'm guessing it's over. Would be wicked awesome if this happens again.
Ah, well, I guess it makes sense. Selling the old version of the PS3 for $40. :O It's still unbelievable though. xD I might just order one. D:
Its not legit lol It's for a controller from target. Sold out cause hundreds of people ordered it hoping it's a console. They'll end up getting their money back though. Maybe if only a few people ordered they would honor it, but not with that many people
Well, it is the system, unless Target marked the controller down from $499. However, I agree that the offer isn't legit, as in you're not going to get a Ps3 arriving on your doorstep that you paid $40 for. But because it's target and amazon, you're not going to get screwed either. It's not a scam, per say, but they can't possibly continue to honor this deal either. I "bought" one, but I don't believe I'll ever recieve the system, or see any charges for it on my credit card. I doubt there's anything to lose by trying, which is why I did, but I also doubt there's anything to gain here either. Nothing lose, nothing gained. The key is that they aren't going to charge you for it unless they ship it to you.
They've gotten at least 1000 orders by now, easy. Its not supposed to be there, whether it's the wrong price for the right item, or the wrong item for that price. People have already started getting cancellation emails, and refunds. I wouldn't be surprised if the first few people got one, but there's no way target will eat the loss from thousands of dollars in ps3s sold 92% off. If you do happen to get one, I'm jealous!
I'm actually going to make it my project and try to push hard to get me one of these if I get a "sorry for your inconveniences, our bad" emails... I mean, I know there's no way it should be $40, but if you think about it, there has to be some sort of legal what-ya-ma-thinkie that if you put enough pressure on Target/Amazon, they'll budge. Maybe. I'll tell you all how it goes
Somebody has effed up here, Scarface-style. No doubt about that. It's worth it though, because it doesn't cost anything to place an order. Placing an order is free. But yeah, it goes without saying that there is a 99.9 percent chance that your order is going to get cancelled. I already knew I'd never end up with that system even before I placed the order for it yesterday
