The first time I didn't complete a level with three chests (level 8 maybe), my screen froze and I couldn't pull out of the game or do anything. I had to do a hard reboot of my iPad, but I think this is more my issue because my iPad 3 is wonky sometimes.
This beautiful first song catapulted me right back to the brilliant Fancy Pants' soundtrack. It sounds so cozy familiar to those. Here, every piece is a master, too, and so is this game. Fantastic job, Dev(s)! You easily got my nomination for this GOTW. I've done level 34 (100/102, bloody waterfalls) and no freeze or any other probs seen on my 5s, latest version. Little wish: i'd like to lock a tune, possible ? PS: Hope you don't mind me off topic mentioning that the other game is still playable on ios 8, just very difficult due to not optimized screen size. Edit: oh boy, mean mean level 38.
Qwertz555, thank you for feedback and suggestion! Could you please tell me what do you mean: lock a tune?
I watched the game play video and was easily entertained. It's not my kind of game but delightful, innovative and interesting.
Maybe a little bug? I hardly have lots of opened apps when i'm gaming, and i can't tell you exactly on which level it happened for the first time (around-ish level 45) since the great music and my concentration absorbed everything else. I'm on level 54 now, and when i leave the app and come back, the sfx sounds are mute, the music is ok. Restarting the game and it works again. Now i rebooted my 5s with an empty multi-task bar and everything runs smooth again, even after i made a call. Just for your info.
Tired he went looking for gold. Waiting for new adventures...so am i. Finally completed, full score. Nice experience this was.
I have a question about new levels in upcoming updates. Should we make new levels or not? It is pretty hard to complete all existing levels now, is it any desire to play more after completing the game? Thank you!
I don't see why anybody would turn down more levels. A level editor might be tough to do, but if not people could submit/share levels. Also: levels don't necessarily need to be more difficult - you could have (an) alternate set(s) to go alongside the originals for people like me who aren't so good at the game, but love seeing it in motion.

I wouldn't mind new levels, of course not, and if you should have some in the oven already - pass it over to me, very appreciated. On the other side though...i just had a quick look at the leaderboard, hmm...not a huge success so far, sorry about that. I had a lot of fun with it, and it was well worth the two little bucks. If you decide to move on, fine with me. Whatever you decide, i'm looking forward...and to your next game, too.
One of my favorite IOS games is Vetica, from 2011. It's a shooter based on ASCII characters and I loved every level. So I was immediately attracted to this new take on ASCII gaming. After playing the first few levels of Proto Raider, I'm already hooked. Recommended. And if you like the ASCII GFX, suggest you check out Vetica as well. Both recommended!
