I decided to grab a protective case for my ipod touch 2g, I love how small the device is but sometimes with long playing of games I get some serious hand cramp trying to hold the thing and use my thumbs as analog sticks or accel/brakes. Amazon.co.uk have a cheap plastic shell which looks ok, it gives the device a little more "fat" but as the same time looks simple, anyone use anything like this? I seen some £25 cases but to me that's too much to pay, also some of them seem to raise the front of the device so much that I can imagne my fingers hitting the edges while playing making things less smooth. Can anyone suggest a good case for a fair price?
This is the one that I have: DLO Softshell and I love it! It's got a nice feel to it, rubbery for good grip but still smooth. And the back with it's "bubble-like" grooves makes it look pretty sweet as well. It gives it a decent thickness, too, cause the 2g touch is almost TOO thin without a case and the silver backing is crazy slippery. Also it's nice and flexible so it's easy to take on and off whenever you need. Wow I might as well be Billy Mays selling this thing! Anyway, I got this at Best Buy for like $15, and I've been very pleased with it.
I like the DLO Hybridshell. It's super tight fitting and doesn't allow any dust to get in. It also adds very little thickness to the Touch, which I find rather appealing. Not that this would likely matter to you as you're in the UK, but Best Buy here is packing a $15 iTunes card with them making the cases essentially $10. Great deal, in my opinion!
The one I personally have is this agent18 case ($25, not bulky, AND you get a free antiglare film to hide fingerprints), but I'm starting to envy this power support one which is SUPER thin (almost like you don't have a case on!!!) and you get two films with it. The only issue with the second one is that the front is more exposed than the agent18 one (maybe a millimeter covering the screen from the ground, MAYBE)
Still love my Switch Easy Rebel Touch Devil case. Although the Neo would be my next. I had some difficulties with my power-button, but after some surgical work with a cut-knife (removing the power-button-thingy from the inner layer), it works like a charm
