The fault is probably on Apple's side. This happens quite regularly it seems. Your intentions are appreciated, none-the-less. Perhaps if you contact Apple, they can fix the problem.
As noticed, the codes have a shelf life. Don't know exactly how long, but I do remember receiving a code from a dev that he cut 2 months ago and sent to me. It didn't work but he was able to create a new one for me to use.
I know the codes only last 4 weeks but I only generated them whilst writing the post today so it isnt that. Apparently theres been quite a few people having this problem with promocodes over the last few days
