I've noticed that there are two main ways developers are releasing promo codes (via TA, that is): post to a thread and whoever is lucky enough to grab them wins, and contests. I love contests and games, as I'm sure most people do since this is a gaming website, but I've had better success with being one of those randoms (by virtue that I live in the Eastern time zone and I wake up early). So I guess this is an informal plea to developers to go in one direction based on responses to this thread (if they are actually reading it). Even though I have been luckier with random giveaways, I would definitely favor contests. Here are my suggestions: a screenshot of the light version completing a task. a screenshot of a flash version " " a screenshot of a free version of a different, perhaps related game, " " A 'virtual scavenger' hunt involving answering questions Silly responses to something related (a al big top 10). Thoughts?
Interesting forum choice But yes, I typically agree contests are better, or at least pms to stave off the lurkers
Not yet, it go extended to the 12th. I'm still competing, gotta shave off a couple milliseconds off my time, though And yeah, I definitely like contests best. My one reason? Ezone's Galactic Gunner Promo Code Contest.
iSR contest? I must have missed it! Sounds intriguing, do explain more. Galactic Gunner was off the hook! To put that much effort into promoting a $.99 game shows so much and hopefully inspires more creativity.
