Hi, I see alot of promo codes for games, how do you get these codes when they become available? Thanks!!
In the iTunes Store's homepage you click on Redeem (its on the right side of the page.) This is where you'll enter the code and the app will automatically download for free.
Only available in the USA though. There are ways to get a US account if you don't live in the US though.
Also if you're on your iDevice, you can just type them into the iTunes redeem code area and it will automatically download your app!
@Wegmans: thanks for the iDevice tip. Since all I do is games I just go to the App Store when I'm on my device, and I never thought to check the onboard iTunes client for a redeem option. It would be really nice if they added that feature to the App Store client, though.
I completely agree with you, I found it by accident once a while ago.. It's really counterintuitive to have to leave the App Store and go to iTunes (which you think is just media related) and then enter in your code there, but for some reason it works! It's great for me when i'm at work and someone offers a code, I don't have iTunes handy, so I just use my phone to snag the code and if it's less than 10mb i can dl it, and if it's more i have it reserved for later!
