That's so sigh. It's so exciting that iPhone 3GS contain 3-axis geomagnetic sensor and next generation CPU with OpenGL-ES 2.0 GPU. And currently lot's of applications haven't made full utilization of these exciting new hardware. I'm working on a series of project which can make full utilization of the build-in compass, virtual reality with high quality graphics! These applications will let people rediscover the iPhone 3GS. This is pretty nice. I really do like how you can walk with the iPhone in front of you (at any angle) and it'll be true to North... It is certainly no-frills right now, but does exactly what is says. Sent a couple thoughts to you via PM. Neat app, nice job using the 3GS capabilities.

Hi, if you're still looking for feedback, I'd be interested in trying this out. How do you calibrate your compass? Have you figured out what the "figure 8" that Apple uses for their compass calibration actually does? Or are you just driving off of whatever magnetometer values they send out using CLHeading?
