Hello, I am about to release Asteroid Asteroid on the App Store on Wednesday (January 10). I've already contacted every YouTuber and Journalist with a Promo Code and I have a few left over so I decided to share them with the community. The game is free, so it's basically for a pre-release. Also, the game is running test ads for the next 2 days, I use REWARDED (opt in) video ads only! (nothing else) So that means, if you elect to watch the video ad, it will be shorter (8 seconds) and will only display branding (Unity Ads) - BUT, you will still get your reward. The game is a casual arcade space shooter. I don't believe in random reward systems - instead, you use gold to play a mini game within the game to unlock spaceships (that mini game was inspired by the 80's gameshow "Press Your Luck"). And for hard-core game-developers/theorists I did break a basic rule of game design (I would rather not say what it is, but I'll probably mention it on game launch, I'm sure it will be obvious pretty quickly to some) Anyway, I wanted to make a casual game that payed homage to the "golden age" of arcade games while maintaining a sense that this game can only "work" on mobile. Of course I wanted it to be fun, but I also wanted to make sure the game was fair. I don't want to "trick" the player into playing a "free" game only to try to manipulate them into spending money.
