WWII Defense - A Refined Classical TD.

If you like Field Runners, you will enjoy this one. It is a classical type of tower
defense game. You have more liberty in how you want to progress. The most
powerful weapon is available right away. Also all 5 maps are selectable at the
get go. No need to unlock one by one.

I have noticed a couple of minor glitches. The weapon upgrade icon doesn't
toggle to available after you earned enough money to upgrade, if it is already
opened. There is no indication of how many total waves are in the campaign.
The game crashed a few times on my iPad 2. Seems like a memory problem.
I went back and quit some other apps and it has been running fine ever since.

I have a lot of fun trying to strategize in WWII Defense. There is even a Game
Center global leaderboard to challenge your friends. You have to finish a
campaign in order to be placed on the leaderboard.

Shadow Quest - ***Tricky*** Platformer

This is not your average platformer. You have to control both the wizard and his
shadow, at the SAME time. If either dies, you will have to start over. You have to
collect 3 bubbles and then get the wizard to meet with his shadow. The special
devices are transponders, reverse gravity, reverse direction, speed up, and frozen.
You can get 0 to 3 stars based on your time needed for completion.The are 2 sets of
20 levels. The levels are tricky, so say the least. The first 20 levels are of moderate
difficulty. The next 20 levels are extremely challenging. It is more like solving
puzzles than a platformer.

I would like to see iPad optimization and maybe more levels in future updates. If you
have the wits and like a challenge, you should definitely pick this one up.

Hamburger Shop - Serving the 1 Millionth Burger!

Fancy serving burger and fries, coke, orange, green soda, coffee, and popcorn?
Hamburger Shop offers 20 levels of time management gaming with increasing
complexity. you need to serve a specified number of customers to advance to the
next level. Spend the money you earned to upgrade your equipment. I was able to
fully upgrade all equipment after 12 levels. YMMV.

I would consider this an entry level time management game as evidenced by the lack
of interaction between customers so there is no specific sequence you need to
complete your tasks. Also the game sorely needed some sound effects with each
specific action. Great choice for the fast food junkies!

Cookie Crisis - Chips Ahoy is not as easy as 1-2-3!

Don't let the cute graphics and the delicious chocolate chip cookies fool you. This puzzler is
akin to playing chess. You need a lot of forethought to plan you attack to devour all the cookies
in each of the 35 levels. The good news is that you can trial and error you way through. The
game is set up as a pass fail mode, i.e., there are no special medals if you use less than the
required number of shots to pass a level. It is currently lacking a leaderboard to see who can
use the least number of shots to complete each level. Also the game difficulty is rather high for
the casual gamer.

There is an endless mode when you start with 24 shots every time you clear the screen. There
are diagonal shots mixed in with the orthogonal ones. It is quite exciting to see the massive
chain reaction when one single shot devours the entire puzzle! Just make sure you are not
hungry before starting a round and don't forget your thinking hat!

iDancing (HD) - Most innovative game award.

First and foremost, this is a music rhythm game. The graphics is rich. The gameplay is good. It tracks
how accurate your tappings are and rate your accuracy with a final score and a 1 to 5 stars rating. It
is not so much a dancing game in the sense that you are not controlling the dance moves with your
taps. Currently there are only 3 songs available. There is a download button that takes you to iTunes
store to purchase Moves Like Jagger for $1.29. Presumably more songs will be available soon.

The killer feature is the ability to animate your likeness in 3D with in app purchase between $149 to
$999. There is a YouTube video that showed the animations which was excellent. I don't know how
much artistic manual work is involved in digitizing your photo so I will not judge the pricing. Suffice
to say that I believe most people will be put off by the high price.

Since I have never played a game with my own 3D character, I give it the most innovative game award.
