You can get a free promotion code (while supply lasts...) for my practical joke app Field Agent Fingerprint App by clicking this link. Enjoy.
Yep, figured posting a bunch of codes in a message is too "messy". If any other developer wants to use this dispenser PM me, I'll show how you can load codes. I'm willing to let developers use this for free, my contribution to the community.
Cool method, but it doesn't take into account those of us who aren't in the US but have US iTunes accounts.
correct. Unfortunately I have no way of verifying a US account other than verifying the user is in the US, and I can't give promo codes to non-US accounts due to the limited number of promo codes.
Of course, although you could provide a link for people to click if they have a US iTunes account (with sufficient warning that the codes only work on US iTunes accounts, of course.). It's a little risky for those who can't seem to read, though...
Technically you can't really do much with a code without a US iTunes account. So even if someone manages to get one without a US account, they wouldn't be able to use it. Not a huge risk, in my opinion.
Cool, tried it out. It's rather amusing, and there are some surprising features. There are some spelling errors and a few not-entirely-convincing names of crimes. For example: "Attempted theft over $200K - Vehicle" - this would be referred to as grand theft, or grand theft auto. (Yes, like the game.) "Attempted burglery with intent commit theft" - it's spelled "burglary", and the word "with" is missing after "intent" "Peeping" would be referred to as "Voyeurism." Other miscellaneous stuff: "Beer premises violation" (?), "Allow dangerous driver borrow your vehicle" (??), "Fiduciary missapp" (is that a misspelling of "mishap" or abbreviation of "misappropriation"?) I don't know if these were made up or examples from actual case files, so I might be mistaken in thinking these are mistakes. Just to note a few that came up. I like that the fingerprint positions itself properly under the finger, though it won't rotate to match the angle of the finger. Not a big deal though. Amusing overall though, and pretty well done.
