Played the hell out of Gran Turismo 3 back in the day though.Lol. Chq Well-Known Member Jul 20, 2013 438 57 28 #5 Chq, Mar 22, 2021 Looks very boring. Rocksaint Well-Known Member Nov 29, 2013 656 358 63 #6 Rocksaint, Mar 22, 2021 This ain't a racing game. It's a series of quick-time events. More like those musical games like Guitar Hero. The graphics are so hit-and-miss. Looks blurry (low-res) in majority of the places. And the UI, oh boy, there's so much going on all over the place. (Which is intentional to confuse you ofc) This is a perfect example why most gamers loathe mobile gaming. anthony78 likes this. Feels / looks a bit better than its competition to my eyes though. All the standard freemium systems are in place. Multiple currencies, timers, energy system. Dailies, achievements, guilds, etc also. Its still on my ipad after half a day of playing it which means its already lasted longer than CSR and Forza Street did lol. But yea, this ones not realistic or simulator like in any fashion what so ever. I'm surprised there isn't a portrait mode option though, most one touch games do well in portrait mode. This would do pretty well on a cellphone in one hand, weird they didn't add that. squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,702 1,228 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #8 squarezero, Mar 22, 2021 Agreed. Being generous, it’s a rhythm game passing off as a racer. Being less generous, it’s a revenue system pretending to be a game. Seriously? RealisticArcadeSimulator Well-Known Member Feb 15, 2018 158 38 28 #11 RealisticArcadeSimulator, Mar 23, 2021 I remember when Nathan Bell actually asked on twitter if people preferred a premium or f2p racing game...I guess that was only a publicity stunt. There is no excuse for creating this forced-online money pit in which you can't drive. From what I've seen on youtube about the actual released game: the on-rails car is taking annoyingly bad racing lines. If one can only watch it should at least show some tight action with the cars taking corners touching the apex... Taeles Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Aug 5, 2011 1,253 37 48 #12 Taeles, Mar 23, 2021 Racing lines dosent matter, it all boils down to car upgrades and tap/hold/releasing on the colored lines in a timely fashion. If your car is upgraded well and you hit the lines right, you will take first. As others above have stated its like guitar hero with pretty car visuals in the background. RealisticArcadeSimulator Well-Known Member Feb 15, 2018 158 38 28 #13 RealisticArcadeSimulator, Mar 23, 2021 I understand the game mechanics but it wouldn't hurt to look at something enjoyable! I mean this is why people watch races. Free to play can be done right — see Genshin Impact. But you can’t strip out the core of the experience to make a game “mobile friendly.” Or at least don’t pretend you’re still making a racing game. This doesn't mean I'm not willing to pay for useful dlc content.
