I still have warranty on it, thankfully, but here are the problems. - Music plays, but no sound coming from speakers or headphones. I'm forced to reinsert headphones multiple times to get it working. - Music stalls, and then immediately crashes. Hasn't happened for a few days thankfully. - Takes a long time to come out of sleep, but that's happened once or twice a week - Minicrashes/freezing, but only for a short while I'm going to try and backup all my music and apps first, before I restore/upgrade. Any ideas if this could be a software or a hardware fault? The problems started after my charger, without my knowing fell into liquid, and I plugged it into my ipod. It still charges, but it doesn't connect to the harddrive. Other chargers work so that's not a problem.
Since your charger dropped in some liquid, you most probably fried some parts in your iPod from charging. I kinda have the same problem with my mom's Motorola (It got wet in the rain). Make good use of that warranty. Did you dry it up before plugging it in? Cuz it'd be pretty stupid not to. I don't mean to offend you though.
Yeah, if the charger fell into water then it's likely going to be a hardware failure somewhere. Luckily, you should still be able to claim on your warranty, seeing as the i-pod itself isn't water damaged.
