    Player data / ratings enhancements

Kerry - great game, as always. Have boughtthis every year now since 2013! Like the detail, but, would like to see more ratings for each player. Especially something along the lines of durability, so we could see multi-game injuries.

Also, would love to have the ability to design play books and individual plays as well with the option to go in and edit the defensive probabilities for the AI if the hardcore users are so inclined. For example, it would be great if you opened up the AI routines for us, so I can edit what the defense decides to do based upon location of the ball on the field: i.e. Their own 1 yd line to the their 20 yd line; their 21 yd line to the 50 yd line; the opposition's 49 yd line to the opposition's 21 yd line; and the red zone to the 10, etc. Then you break it down by down and distance. For example, on 3rd down if they need 0-1, 2-4, 5-8, 9-13 or 14+, allow us edit the matrix of what probability the AI will call a certain formation or play: 3rd down, 14+ yard to go for a first down, the matrix might be: basic defense 30%, pass defense 50% or prevent 20%.

That would be very cool! You could also let us edit the AI for special game situations: 1st half, 1st half under 3 minutes, 3rd qtr, 4th qtr, 4th qtr under 6 minutes, 3 minutes, 2 minute warning, all based upon current score spread!!

Let me know what you think!

Thanks for such a great app!

Definitely enjoying it today. Thanks! Loved playing during the Lions game. Great way to enjoy the afternoon.

Oh, and I noticed that the logo and down lines seemed to be a much higher resolution than the rest of the gameplay on screen during plays. It might look cool if you pixelated them a bit or lowered the resolution to the same as the field. Just a cosmetic thought. Nothing big. ;)

Thanks! Great input, I love it! On the play attributes, I completely agree. I have durability in the game, but I wasn't showing it because of room. I'm going to revisit all the play logic as one of my top priorities for next year, and I'm going to add in some mix of Condition, Morale, Stamina, Durability, and Recoverability (some names may change), AND I'm going to let you shuffle players during the game (if possible, I'll try to add the roster shuffling this year, but it's a tough time of year right now, we'll see).

I'm with you, I'll make the scouting screen two pages, so you can see these other ratings, and one of my top priorities is to bring in fatigue and recoverability, so that you can't just run the same guy every play without penalty.

As for the playbooks, I am planning on some ideas along those lines as well, and I already have most of that in the game, but not exposed to the users. I like the idea a lot, and I've added that to my top list as well.

For this year, after this weekend, I want to fix some bugs, try to get in some small features, and work on the names editing. I think that should be top priority (with the bug fixes) before Christmas.

Thanks for your support and input!

Thanks, I hadn't even thought of that, LOL! I wish I could hire artists to improve the animation, but can't. Maybe someday! But what I can do is continue to add features and make each year better. I'm *really* glad you're enjoying the game, thanks!

    A thought

Hi. I had posted in the other forum thread (career) but it doesn't seem to be getting much action. This is a great game. Have you thought about adding a simplified audible system? Even the choice to switch focus at line of scrimmage from pass to run or vice versa. Or the opportunity to call or canal back a blitz would
Be a terrific feature. This would make reading the opponent's formation an important part of the game, thus adding a new level of strategy. I'm not a programmer, so I have no idea how difficult this would be. I just think having the ability to change a play at the line would make the game even more immersive. Again thanks for the game. I have bought all of them!

Hi and thanks! Yeah, I think that'll be a great idea, and I had hoped to get some sort of audibles into the game this year, but rewriting took all my time, but this is definitely on my "to do" list. I'm going to try to get some more improvements in the 2015 version, with editing names my to priority, and for 2016 I'm going to see if I can create PC and Mac versions and get it on Steam, and I'll work on more features.

Thanks for your support and suggestions!
