it does work well, and also the button free controls, they might feel a bit funny at first but after a little bit of playing it gives you a very nice game flow. This is likely not the most "hardcore gamer full control over every aspect" targeted way of playing, but after all please bear in mind that there are many people out there who have been scared away from gaming by complexity. We think the game offers both depth and easy access, button free being default as core gamers will find the settings easier
http://uk.games.konami-europe.com/blog.do ohh,man this is the best screenshots i ever seen it on iphone. Definitely the best soccer game . When trailer will come out ?
I hope the game has a feeling like you are playing a real game of football and not just on a training pitch, all the other football games i have played have had no real atmosphere, hope the stadiums stand out more too, as it all adds to the feel of the game better for me.
they will definitely miss out if they don't release before WC, I think they will probably release on the first day of WC action
+1 The freezed animation looks really good. The field doesn't have that cinematic lighting first introduced to iPhone by FIFA 10 but I suppose I can live with great animations, AI and gameplay. So far all football games on the iPhone have silly AI, very mechanical. It's not just about being difficult, but also enjoyable to play. Then there's also team mates AI which is just as important.
Ah thanks Florian. I look forward to learning the new controls. X2 Football 2010's graphics are much better, however graphics aren't everything.
Florian can you confirm the release date? If its going to be a while I might buy Fifa but I dont want to spend £3.99 if this is coming out in 2 days or so..
the japs aren't making it... I had so much hopes and dreams for this game, and was actually thinking of getting a iPhone 4 because of PES coming for the appstore. However... this game is being made in Paris... and NOT by japs. I really hope we don't get a whiff of gameloft Really would like the PSP port, if u can't make it better!
what difference does it make. people are people, it doesnt matter where you live (bar some places) all devs have the ability to make great games
it makes absolutely no difference weather it is being developed in paris or japan, its still the same company, loads of game companys have different places where they develop games, just look at rockstar, they have a north, london, leeds, but the product is always the same, and its always the same company developing it
Reg release date: we're waiting for it to go live any day... Also guys, please understand I won't compare our game to competitors or comment on other football titles. What I will say so that we had a core team of more than a dozen people from an award winning cell phone soccer game production tean working on this for more than a year, building on PSP graphic models and animations and the playability and smoothness is going to blow you away (and that is no marketing BS, I feel that by heart). I have seen nothing coming from my division before that has made me half as proud. Check out facebook.com/pes, there is more material than you find in this forum here... Still: I am sure there will be a million things that one could want to add as "features" , and from a gamer perspective I would probably second almost all of them, but I am forcing me to keep in mind that this product is first of all about giving you the most playable simulation with a "easy access option" to the non core gamers. Just like in real life, everything comes at a cost, and any production decision is subject to a trade off between various options. Having said that I promise our team here will read every single comment on the game in reviews by consumers or press and take them into account for the iterations to come.
Very honest assesment Florian and should hopefully put everyone in the right mindset for the launch. So nice to see a 'big name' developer on behalf of Konami take time to come to these boards, shows the importance of the TA community. I'm hoping now people will judge your PES game on its merits, rather than compare it too harshly against the console versions! Eyes glued on the App Store then!
