It's an ignorant opinion, Warrior within was released way before HOS. Like I said it surprised me to find out how little a lot of members seems to know about console games they seem to think by default that if its gameloft then it's reskin, a lot of gameloft haters here.
Well, there goes your excuse... Look, anybody who pays one iota of attention to this platform knows that a Gameloft port is not the same thing as a Gameloft "original." If you can fault their ports for anything it is being too faithful to the original games -- hence the lack of save points in Rayman 2. My one concern about PoP:WW is that it's that it will be too difficult for a virtual joystick (particularly those exasperating Dahaka sequences). Using Iron Man 2 to cast doubt on the quality of PoP is just being cranky.
Excuse for what exactly? I posted an opinion and I stick by it and we'll see when it's released. Calling someone out on a personal opinion is just cranky.
So, if this is a port of a PS2 game, could someone please post a link to the original game (on the PS2)? Iron Man 2 was pretty bad, but that doesen't mean all other games now from gameloft will be bad too. Don'T forget gameloft has loads of dev teams!
you don't need to wait, just play the psp version. Comparing this game to ironman 2 for iPhone is just hilarious.
Ignorance is a good excuse for making asinine comments. But you are not ignorant, so there goes your excuse. Calling someone out on their personal opinion is just the Internet .
I haven't got a clue that this game is a port. Glad you found it so hilarious that someone who doesn't follow the thread posted something that may have indicated so.
Got no interest in learning the facts as I thought this was another dodgy gameloft movie tie in game. And when did I impose my view on others? I couldn't give a damn if other people agree or disagree with my opinions.
It's an easy mistake to make, considering that the movie is coming out soon. But it does pay to read at least a few comments before dashing out a post. It shows that you value the views and opinions of other forum members -- and it keeps you from coming across like a fool .
There we go then, sorted. I didn't realise however that I needed to sift through pages of a thread to post my opinion. Considering that I am very well educated... Not knowing that a game for the app store is a port of a game for other platforms doesn't exactly make me a fool.
You are right. But posting uninformed opinions makes you sound like one. Personally, I like to learn at least a bit about a subject before I start talking about it. I think most people would agree that that's a wise thing to do.
Let's not hijack this thread with more chatting my friend, to clear up my initial post. In my opinion, this game is going to go the same way that Iron Man 2 for iPhone/Touch went, i.e. Some people may feel it is extremely poor quality. No offense intended at all. Cheers.
Agreed. Knowing their history with console ports, I think the game will be of excellent quality but perhaps not the best fit for the platform.
i do not agree if the game is as it seen on screens and it has good framerate every single pop fan will buy it and many any others because prince of persia pwns well i dont know if it will fit to iphone well but i think everythings fits XD
Actually, I think we're actually in agreement . Earthworm Jim was ported well, but I found playing with touch controls frustrating in ways that other platfomers (like Gianna Sister for example, or even Dark Void) are not. Rayman 2's controls took some getting used to, but they worked. The lack of save-spots, however, made you want to throw the phone against the wall. Driver is probably their best port; not only were the graphics improved, the but the controls worked well enough. Still, some of the longer, multi-part missions could have been made much more fun with auto-save. As has been mentioned above, the Dahaka sequences in PoP:WW were frustrating even with a PS2 controller. They were even worse on the PSP, but doable after many attempts. I'm not sure how that's going to translate to a touchscreen.
