You guys don't really have a clue about gaming outside your ipod touches Warrior within IS NOT USING THE HERO OF SPARTA Engine, it's a port gaddamit.
i dont know if these screens were posted before so: http://www.gameloft.com/minisites/princeofpersia/iphone/images/screenshots/img004.jpg http://www.gameloft.com/minisites/princeofpersia/iphone/images/screenshots/img005.jpg http://www.gameloft.com/minisites/princeofpersia/iphone/images/screenshots/img006.jpg god,i just hope you can turn off that yellow objective arrow (from here http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs632.snc3/31692_10150198801170506_216238295505_12587383_6072013_n.jpg and here http://www.gameloft.com/minisites/princeofpersia/iphone/images/screenshots/img005.jpg) and sorry that im too lazy to attach those photos
Typical Gameloft games.. "Follow the arrow" or "Collect the carefully placed orbs and you'll magically get there".
Again I'm amazed on how ignorant some forum members are about games outside their ipod touches. This is not a typical Gameloft game trust me, this is a port of one the ps2 game Warrior within. And did you even look at the screens? There is no 'follow the arrow on this one'.
Don, did you even look at the screenshots? There is no arrow that I can see. In any event, it wouldn't make sense on PoP:WW since once you reach the core of the game it's non linear -- you can choose any of several branching paths.
maan looks like you have never played a prince of persia before arent you?the game isnt about collecting stuff and it is a port of a pc/ps2 game so believe me it wont be crap, btw where did you saw the arrow ? there isnt any at any of the pictures
I played PoP, the very first one that started it all, and the second latest one (albeit only for a few hours), that's all. I know what the game is about, it's just that Gameloft too often put stupid arrows or orbs in their games, eg. BIA, Hero of Sparta, MC, Terminator Salvation, etc.
They didn't on Driver, Earthworm Jim, or Rayman II -- the examples that actually count on PoP:WW. BTW, most contemporary action/adventures games (on all platforms) have arrows (or very obvious environmental features) pointing you to the next destination. And on all Gameloft games you can always turn them off. And orbs? Where are the orbs in BiA2, MC, and Nova?
Ahh -- missed the preposition. @SJP99: the fact that it's a port means that they're likely using a version of the original engine. Sands of Time was ported to the Mac years ago, so there's already an OpenGL version of it (assuming that WW used the same one).
No offense but people will always find something to complain about. First its the engine, the arrows, the orbs. Whenever one is non-existent then you will simply move on to the next complaint. Dude just chill out ok.
"No offense but people will always find something to complain about"......you should stopped right there....you should try to "chill out." So he made a remark that was inaccurate big deal. It doesn't give you a right to flame him. He's expressing his opinion and if that's not allowed here on TA then something is seriously wrong.
You're the one who need to chill out. I love PoP and am worried Gameloft would ruin it, that's all. And if you notice, different people are concerned about different things: engine, arrows, framerate, etc. It's not that we keep moving on to the next complaint, it's that each of us cares about different thing.
Im not gonna get into an argument with you Beachmusic, fighting on the internet is about as productive as a blind guide-dog. The fact of the matter is everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and no one has the right to tell someone their wrong.
We haven't seen The Manager of the Scranton Branch of Sabre, Printer & Paper Conpany in a while. Hopefully, this isn't as screwed up as Splinter Cell.
Framerate and controls are my only concern since this is a port gameloft cant mess it up with their generic arrows and orbs. This will be faithfull to warrior within.
