Now is only relative touch controls. Maybe in next version I do virtual joystick (or support bluetooth pads) but I must test gameplay (difficulty level). I will not be in a hurry to support this but I try do it. I'm one man indiegame studio (all works is done by me, only sound effects I bought) so this take some time for me.
Actually the current ones are not relative touch. The ship should NOT move to your finger. It should just move corresponding to your finger. One thing I can’t stand in a shmup is having your ship directly under your finger. That’s incredibly annoying. There are a ton of other iOS shmups like the Phoenix games as an example for what relative touch really is. Just some constructive criticism.
